A Garden Of Goodies

Yeah, it's surprising when people are still trying to debate whether there's a significant difference between chem/organic buds. Makes me wonder...poor chap, what the hell have they been smoking?

Of course, it MAY be possible to get a good flush at the end, but chems go straight in whether the plant wants them or not. Once they're in there, good luck getting them out. Makes me shudder when I see people trying to get an extra gram of harvest by shoving nutes as their plant finishes. Guaranteed, that bud is not going to be as good as it could be.

I've not ever sampled an Oregon dispensary nugget that didn't burn the throat a bit, and taste like junk at the end. Smoke half and toss it. Blaaahhhh.

Organics are not difficult to pull off with a good foundation in place. I can't recommend it enough if you are truly growing for your own med supply.

Making your own soil mix may be somewhat involved, but I really like the soil pack I've used from kis organics, highly recommend it if you're in the states, it's been the foundation of success here, and made growing easy. :yay:
Even using the chemical nutes made for home use is still better than stuff grown for profit, unless it's a mom and pops small grow...

Cool, Dudeski, you bet.

I just ordered a bag, was 35 +20.45 for shipping. So 55.45. Well worth it if you ask me, I was not only out of soil, but also out of compost and don't want to buy a whole bag at this time.

Wow, so kind soil is one use only! That sucks right there, bingo. Not to trash on them, just pointing out the cost disadvantage of that. Aren't you also supposed to buy and use your own calmag with it too? I think I've read that.

I'm sticking with kis. Shipping is free on the nutes pack, it'll be MORETHAN enough to amend all of the approximately 150 gallons of soil I made this year, and this bag I've just bought. I don't have to buy ANY soil next year, just light mix to start the seeds in, that's it. :woody:
Scrolling through the thread and reading only "Soil...blah blah blah... soil... grams of this, grams on soil per soil... blah, blah..

Oh im paying good attention to everything! Dang, thats a lot cheaper. How do you get the roots all out or do you let them decompose?
Could most any good soil be reammended?
Only if you do soil, my dear... only if you do soil! [emoji16]

so what are ya asking man? if any soil can be mixed, utilized and made to perform for cannabis or just in general? in general YES,absolutely yes soil,or dirt can be made into whatever you need it to be over time and introducing the proper elements and life to the soil hence giving it thee very structure it requires to be sustained through natural means. and as for cannabis, well its a yes and no question will it work?certainly will, and it would prolly be pretty decent imo as well. BUT the cannabis we all know and love takes a little more preparation and soil building to achieve an almost water only and tea grow. as a simple rule to many more mild elements ,a half of a cup can be used. kelp, neem, alfalfa, DBL for EWC, and so on,kanja cake mellow is the key word, hotter elements need to be taken with a little more care, also sometimes considering whats already IN the soil to begin with,or what has been added or NOT USED as well.

@Eyes on Fire , i was rambling and wondering if the kindsoil could be reammended and reused. But im a long ways from that guys. Its motivation to me seeing you guys work your soil. I still have to finishing reading what you linked me to about organics. Im in the south so bugs are a huge issue with cooking my own soil. But we do have a good crop of worms...

use need and kanja cake man, natural pest control, frass works too and then treat the plant with SNS-209 or similar organic systemic product and you should be fine. just learn the tomato gardening tricks for pests they're mostly all the same.use that as your guide bro, easy. and some castile soap and liquid kelp help with pests too ,azomax and others like dead bug and similar.

Yup, and people also say it tastes better if grown in soil. But dealing with soil was the part of growing bonsais that I didn't do well with. I'm a total hydro person! :)

Eyes, thanks for your replies.

Thanks everyone for your interest, likes and comments. I won't bore you with details about the soil, I was trying to give a cost analysis as I think that's helpful.

And, I'm not trashing kind soil -- to be clear, again.

I am going to trial the kis soil at full strength, I'll let the plants show us how well that works. I do this for fun and for top shelf meds.

Thanks again for your feedback and interest, AFN. Have a nice weekend everybody :jointman:
