Hey guys Ive been wanting to start my own grow for a long time and i think i have a solid platform to stand on and start this new exciting venture , but not without the help of you guys. So my mum is a chemotherapy patient and ive been trying to find cannabis in pakistan to make oil out of but all people sell here is hash which is mostly mixed and impure. Im also planning on growing to smoke some of the end product myself as I want to get off the hash.

Now that the intro is out of the way let me tell you guys what im working with and what the plan is :

10-15 plants all autos with five of them being superautos. the superautos will be grown in 7 gallon smart pots and the rest in 5 gallon smart pots. In terms of nutrients i have so far: Foxfarms trio plus GH cal mag and ph up and down. Ph pen is on the way.

My growing media will consist of 70% coco and 30% perlite.

My first question to kick things off is to do with nutrients/ supplements. I know what i have is not completely sufficient and alot of you guys use additional supplements whether its root stimulants or additional growth/ budding products and I want you guys you guys to recommend me such products that can ensure my plants are always healthy at all stages I don’t want mind shelling out a few extra bucks ( or rupees in this case) to get better results. The plan is to get roughly 50 grams from each plant which would total around half a kg which is apparently enough for a three month course of the rick simpson oil. Any product you guys recommend will take approx. 20 days to arrive and as soon as I start I will be posting a journal to be able to correct any problems in time.

My apologies if this has gone on for too long but I hope you guys can see how serious I am and how much it means to me. Please ask as many questions as possible to get an accurate measurement of my growing conditions. And by the way its really fucking hot here.

Hey khush, welcome

I'm not an outdoor grower but I do grow in Coco. I can tell you one thing you're going to want is an EC meter or total dissolved solids meter it'll help you determine the nutrients strength you want to feed your plants.

I like Coco it's real easy to grow in if you follow a few rules. However, I'm not sure it would be the best medium for growing outdoors in a hot climate. Especially if you're using perlite or something mixed in. It's possible your plants would require watering several times a day by the time they get large. And you'll have to be prepared for that, If you go with Coco.

It wouldn't hurt to have a safer insecticide on hand. A lot of the natural plant oil and Sophie washes are effective. You just don't want to be applying any plant oils in a hot sun environment you want to get into shade.

I think you should be able to get that half kilogram you want and if by chance things don't work out you can make some really good Rick Simpson Oil from hash.

I don't want to recommend a whole bunch of nutrients and end up making things ridiculously complicated you can grow some good weed with Fox Farm Trio if you do continue in Cocoa you'll want some silica for sure. Usually you would get that from the soil, the sand part of the soil Coco doesn't have it so you definitely have to supplement. It will give you strong or stems and a much better resistance to bugs.

How will coco/perlite go in the sun all day?
The pot is going to need protection from the sun I think or the roots are going to cook.

EC is for some reason really confusing to me lol i wanted to buy it before but i was assumin following a less concentrated feeding schedule of what the recommmended dose is on the bottle would do.

I was also thinking of using neem oil as a insecticide because it's available here readily.
To answer you and the other poster wondering about the hotness what can i do to protect the pots and root system?

I should have mentioned this before but i did a test run on a fastberry outdoor just to see how it would grow although at that time i only had growbig and big bloom. the plant is in day 50 but it is so small im worried alot of these other plants will suffer the same although i know with that one i didnt have all the nutrients to feed in the early days.
Also I dont mind being bombared with recommendations for supplements but if you had to to pick one supplement each for :
Growing strong tough roots
The vegetative state
The flowering state
the last few weeks of flowering.
What suggestions would you give? Im ready to go to extra efforts to give myself the best chance to come out of this with half a kg or potentially more.

@jingo https://www.amazonshopping.pk/index...AmazonProuctView&cat=All&productId=B000EJZAWA This seems a good option for the silica supplement. Should I go for this?
If you can get it I would go with armor Si, from General Hydroponics. The main reason is that particular supplement doesn't have any nitrogen. The one you were looking at is great product it just has little nitrogen and I like to be more in control of how much nitrogen my plants get.

The only routing supplement I've ever used this is General Hydroponics brand I can't remember the name. Most of the routing supplements are going to have seaweed which is what you want.

I use a product called sm-90. It isn't really a nutrient and it's not really a supplement. But it has plant growth hormones in it natural hormones from willow trees. It also has coriander oil in it. The SM in the title used to stand for spider mite. Because it was developed as an insecticide. but in smaller quantities it's great to put right in your nutrient mix and feed it directly to your plans or foliar feed your plants with it. Anyway, it seems to be a good all-around insecticide and stimulate and it's just a a great product to have when you're growing cannabis.

I would try to find a white piece of plastic or white canvas something white build reflect the light to cover all your pots including the tops where the Coco would normally be exposed to the air. I think that would help keep things cool down for you. You might look for something that's white and breathable so over here in the United States we can buy white canvas painters drop cloth real cheap something like that would probably work to help keep the heat from building up on the pots. Or if you have the ability in the time to find some white pots that could help. It also wouldn't hurt to get some chips of gravel if you have something like marble chips and put them across the top of your pot on top of your cocoa that helps keeps insects from getting down inside and would also help keep things a little cooler since marble is usually quite White.

PS unless you really know what your background water is like you should have an EC meter. You may be able to contact your local municipality if you're getting your water through you Municipal Power or water supply. Most wells in my area are so alkaline that they're just full of minerals and well water won't even work for me to water plants. So you could be in a situation where are your own what water supply is not good for your plants and you might have to bring in distilled or something so it's a good idea to have an EC meter.

Sorry for the late reply the net has been down. Yeah the Armor Si is available i will pick it up. And I think i saw the SM-90 there too. About the sm-90 can/should I mix it with the same water i mix my foxfarm nutrients in ?

I have a lot of linen type white cloth available would that do the job ?

And in regards to the water... im using this distilled water which has between 150-350 parts minerals If i buy the TDS meter would i be able to work with that mineral content and dial in my nutrients properly or is 150-350 too much to begin with ?

I think linen would work great, and then if you wanted to you could probably spray a little water on it once in awhile.

I really like sm-90 it's so good for so many things I'm glad you can get that.

You can use your nutrients with that background parts per million, but you definitely will want your own meter. Typically you will find a feed level that will be right for the plant and in order to get there you're going to have to subtract out your background solids from your feed solids.

Oh yeah, I always put sm-90 in every single feed mix I make for my plants. I used 2 mil per gallon.
