So, what is the best/correct way to fix deficiencies in an autopot system? Just increase Ec in the reservoir and wait for the next tray refill? or maybe hand water the pot with a higher EC than usual and also increase the EC pf the resevoir?

I ask this because I've been using the autopot 1pot system for less than a week now on a flowering photo plant that is entering her 6th 12/12 week. Today I noticed new def symtoms that i am almost sure are Ca def . Ph was between 5.9 and 6.2 in both tray and reservoir. The medium is pure coco coir on 2 inches of perlite.

In a panic I just mixed up some new nutes with the EC i usually use, but then added more CaMg to the mix (usually i just use up to 30 ppms, this time i used 50 ppms) and hand watered the pot. I also emptied the reservoir and refilled with a new mix that contained more CaMg as well. My EC now is 1.221 (400 ppm of megacrop, 130 bud explosion, 50 CalMag pro).

Was this a good idea? Is there something I should've done differently? How do you fix deficencies in your autopots?

Thanks!

Not an autopot user, but the CalMag is likely to fix your problem.
Unless you increased feed too fast.
I'd reduce ppm to what it was before you flushed the reservoir, if it was significantly lower.

Going above EC = 0.9 causes over-feeding symptoms in my DWC setup.

Thanks! I only increased by 20 ppm of CalMag Pro (passed from 20/30 ppm to 50) which would usually give me burnt tips during veg on this strain, but since it's now in mid-late flower and much closer to the light, I'm expecting it to tolerate the increase.

Why not foliar feed calcium or whatever is deficient? It's faster, works and avoids altering your main feeding.

I'm affraid to foliar feed duirng flowering specially now considering I'm growing with high humidity (60-75%). But I have to confess I don't really even consider doing foliar feeding during veg... i keep forgetting that also works. Thanks for the reminder!
