im wanting to switch to edible or pill instead of smoking. if possible or cut down on smoke at least. your thoughts on that?
im having trouble with cooking and oil choice in the past. the oil has nasty taste and odor. need consistant quality tastefull products I guess. otherwise I throw out bad tastes.
I have a lazer temp gauge I can use for cooking.
can I get help on best ways to cook up and create herb digestables?

Here are some things you can do to make most efficient use of your herb.
(1) Decarb @ 240 F for 40 minutes using a verifying thermometer. This is the most important step.
(2) Grind to powder in a coffee grinder.
At this point the herb is a potent as it will ever be, and the object is to get that maximum potency into the blood stream.
There are a couple of easy ways to make edibles that can do this.
(1) Simply add the herb to nutella or nut butter. Each 1 gram of good herb should produce about 150 mg thc. I did this yesterday, and set the mixture on my internet router with frequent stirring.
(2) Add to the oil of any recipe. I like $1 betty crocker muffin and brownie mixes to make mini muffins and mini brownies that are easy to dose.
Don't be fooled by the simplicity of this method. It has maximum potency for a given amount of original herb, about twice as strong as strained oil/butter.
Some people like to add lecithin, and maybe cook the mixture awhile using very low heat (220 F for 20 min, or 160 F for 4 hours are common), but I find that several hours on my 105 degree router, with frequent stirring, makes that unnecessary.
Best of all, you don't even have to trust that what I'm saying is true.
Try the nutella/nut butter method with 1/2 gram flower, and it will blow you away, unless your tolerance is very high.
I had 2 cracker sandwiches containing 0.62 grams herb in 10 g nutella total last night (amount of nutella mostly affects taste), and had a great night's sleep.
I've experimented with dozens of other recipes, and although some can equal it, nothing is measurably better, at least for me.
