Grow Mediums Aerogarden ultra led Think Different GH nutes

Hello everyone. Long time lurker coming clean to contribute. This is my first grow. I am only growing one single Think Different in an Aerogarden ultra led.

My setup.
Aerogarden ultra led modded.
I have taken out the pump system that comes with it and put two aquarium bubblers running from an Eheim pump. This makes more space for the roots and rids all the problems with heat and roots getting stuck into the pump.

I am into the 4th day of germination. I am using the original aerogarden sponges to germinate. I can see the tap root pushing down into the water below. No sign of any leaves on top yet.

I have the General hydroponics triple system. Plus bio bud and Florakleen for later stages. I have a Tds meter and a PH meter for monitoring the reservior. My tap water has a ppm value of 50. But it stinks of chlorine. I hope just letting the water sit for 48 hours will be enough to rid it of the chlorine.

But I feel woozy and I have not been smoking. I have no clue beyond the theory. Please follow my thread and help me out. It's taken me a year to figure out all the things I needed plus to have the courage to grow. Thanks for this space, Muddy. It would not be possible without it.

Wzup, Meta?! Welcome to AFN! There are plenty of helpful members on this site, and there's plenty of great information to learn from them. Muddy was actually the one that got me to stop lurking and start growing! 24 hours should be plenty of time for the chlorine to evaporate. I just got done growing TD, and I'll tell you, unless that aerogarden is bigger than it appears, you're gonna be in for a wild ride! They like to put on size! Also, it's a good idea to look at other journals and ask questions to get to know other members. Putting the link to your journal in your signature makes it a lot easier for other members to access your page, too! Just a couple tips, my man! Grow safe, stay cool, and be eazy!

I think that system may be a bit small for think different unless you grow just one and do some excessive training. How high can you raise that light above the part that supports the plant? I also thought about doing this but it seemed the aero garden available at the time wouldn't extend high enough for even the lowryder strains back in the day.

I agree with Gadget. You grow a TD in in there, and you are gonna be constantly working with her! But, it will be fun to watch what make her do!

You need a dwarf plant sweet seeds and buddha have some good strains that would grow great under your cab. I grew think different outdoors there is no way that i can see you keeping it under control it is classified a super auto unless you can bonzai it my freind

Yeah, they can put on some size. You might wanna check out a few TD threads before you get started just so you can see their potential

It's a relief to know that 24 hrs will be plenty for the chlorine to evaporate.

The aerogarden ultra led can extend to 24 inches above the plant. So Bobby_Canada that's enough I hope. There is a trellis system plastic ring which comes with the aerogarden and I plan to put a scrog on it. Lemme see If I can produce some pictures to help with visualising what I am planning.

I have supplemental lighting as well in the form of dome with cfls for later. There is plenty of sunshine where I am so that is good as well, though it is indirect.

The capacity of the aerogarden ultra led reservior is about 4.5 litres or just above 1 gallon. Hope I am able to pull this off!
