My first light was a 2' 4 lamp HO t5 by agrobrite. After buying some [HASHTAG]#Autocobs[/HASHTAG], I stopped using it and recently pulled it out for some clones/seedlings.
Wanting a little more light, I installed 4 agroLED bulbs and within 24 hours the unit died. The plug for daisy chaining still has power, so I know it is still flowing, but my led tubes, or the originals, no longer work.
It is not in the cards to get a new light right now, and it seems like fixing this is my best bet. Any ideas what might need to be done? Do I need to upgrade the ballast? I saw somewhere that I might need to bypass the ballast perhaps?
Please help! My little ones need some TLC!

I would call or email agrogrow and see if you can get some tech help.. replacing a ballest is easy..

It sounds like you are using conversion strips made by the same company. Have NO CLUE what actual diodes are on those lights. All diodes are not equal. Fluorescent ballasts are definitely different than a constant current switching power supply like LEDs use. Might be a good project to gut and start from scratch. There are some nice Mean Well knock off HLG type drivers on Amazon. I have done a few conversions using both Samsung 561c strips and COBs. We turned a junk Viparspectra into a much MUCH better light weight the COBs, and we converted two old 4 foot twin bulb fluorescent fixtures into 4x Samsung strips per light. The only way to know what's up in there is to bust out a meter and see where the problem is. LEDs don't use the same parts as any fluorescent, so there is some steps happening that are still in place for the T5s...and then the replacement LED bulbs have some kind of stripped down driver inside that's meant to work with the power off the ballast. An unnecessary step. Gotta get a meter or call a friend/family member who has one and knows how to use if. That's literally the only way to know where the issue is without guessing. You can get a cheap DMM at Harbor Freight...not a bad thing to grab.

THEY'RE called KAAAAHBS Joe's dad's stuff
