I'd appreciate info and hopefully not flames here. Airpot retail sources aren't plentyful, for my locale, plus the price is usually exorbitant. Has anyone looked at an Ali source for reliable knockoffs? Plastic that won't poison the plants (and me), good comms, quick delivery, reasonable quantities and price (like 100@$3 or similar)? Thnx.

Hey there :D

I know a chap who makes his own autopot style erm ... autopots! :D
I'll fish out a link!

(its @pop22 if he beats me to it!)

:d5:

edit: Hmmm .. I thought he made his own ... i found a diy resevoir thread.
I'll keep looking!

edit 2. No, sorry, it seems like the aquavalve is needed from what i can see. The other option i was thinking of would be using a big tray and bottom feeding (using the tray as the resevoir)

Yes but they short and fat, whereas airpots are tall/slim.a 6L knockoff will be half the height.
:pighug:

Basically there has to be some trust in the type of plastic, ie BPA free, lead free, and hopefully a food grade (maybe that's hoping for too much). So something you WOULD grow food in, and the same consideration about any grow of course for containers, water lines, etc as being potential contaminants. Like a PVC line in times past was a source of contamination until the Schedule 40 & 80 came into being as potable water lines. Now being quickly replaced by PEX it seems 'cus buying PVC 40&80 fittings is becoming more difficult I notice.
