DSCF2027.jpgDSCF2028.jpgDSCF2029.jpgI think this shows how they work.Notice the bottom of second pic where the roots follow the little channels. This is why it's important to put the bottom insert in correctly. The first time I used them I had them in wrong and the roots grow out the bottom and into your overflow tray. This way they follow the chanels and start knew roots elsware.

SWEET DEAL! Thanks brother! I wanna use an Air pot but Im gonna try a smart pot before I take that dive this season.LOL!Awesome tho.it gave me a look at what Im gettin into somewhat.BZ!!

Hmmm interesting, Ive been using air pots for the last few grows and yup, they are superb. Good air flow all round. Bit of a pain to water cos it comes out of every hole! but....managable
But, what you said about having the bottoms in the wrong way round has interested me. I cant remember what way i put mine round now! lol I think i put it the right way round but not sure now, you havnt got a pic of the correct way have you? Im sure mine has a 'nipple' in the middle and i always put that sort of pointing downwards if that makes sense.
Anyhoo nice pics, looked just like mine when i 'peeled' off the pot after a chop chop.

Gave ya some much deserved rep for that.. makes me re-think my bootleg air pots, hrm.. I want to see a rootball from a smart pot now.

yeah whats better? smart pots or air pots? or is it all in the preference of the grower? and what about these new type air pots ive been seeing? are they any good?

Thats all Im going to use this season are smart pots and 100% organics too.Show by quite a show.I hope I hope I hope! LOL :joint: Ill be taking MANY pics to investigate this wonderous ball O roots and how well it air trims the root system and stops it from that circle pattern too,so they dont get all bound up.Ya just gotta have a big one to maximise ,Blah blah you know what Im sayin.LOL! Im all baked being long fingered?or long winded?eh who cares.I need to build up to a full on Air pot though.:joint: Ill tell ya all about it in the next few months. :D

Where are those from Nemesis? Look like a beefed up netpot..

@The Dude: So you're switching away from bubbleponics completely? O_O

I see them on ebay whilst i was surfing for airpots. They're called root pruning pots...bout the same price as air ones, i dont think they 'unwrap' like air pots do so just on that difference im sticking with airpots, loads easier to store flat etc... but then again if they work better im willing to give one a go.

My bad I missed that.Sorry.I grow organic in soil or soiless mixes.Smart Pots are reusable.10 bucks US for a 5 gallon smart pot with handles.Ive read a fair amount about them and Im truly convinced its going to help a HUGE amount with flushing, air prunning as well as the overall improvment of the entire flowering beauty too. :joint: Im very much into learning about bubbleponics as well as DWC too.Later this season Ill be asking a trillion questions on that since I got a handle on the basics but a tent and enclosed it a different game completley when it comes to air.Just gotta find the right mix.No worries.

@Nemesis: Well that's crap, those aren't on the US eBay site.. I've been looking for something a bit cheaper than airpots, but so far these pots are truly amazing. I only have 3 out of all of my pots, but they're just.. great. I guess I'll stick with them and just continue to order little by little as I can. I use a US site where the shipping is free, and the price per pot is $5.50 and up (from the smallest pot) the 3 gallon equivalent is $6.95 per pot and that;s what I'd like to invest in.

@Dude: I'm so sorry brother, I confused you with "The Dawg", I see this happening a lot in the future, haha. I was going to start picking your brain for DWC info, interested myself.. I had one failed run in DWC.. 3-4 good runs in Hempy, but I wound up back in dirt here already..
