Oh shite, excuse my bad..but ive just checked my airpots and ive got the bottom with the nipple going upwards into the pot, proper noob or wot? lol I must a thought that the water would of got trapped in the bottom nipple bit and rotted the roots....fook, what now folks?....

Thats how your meant to do it, by checking out this video amongst others, they all look like they have the nipple facing upwards.....personally i dont think it matters but that theory i had about the roots getting trapped in the upside down nipple might be vaild, worth checking out...

I have an auto pounder in my first airpot and I'm excited! My bottom insert said top and bottom on it, which was pretty cool. I would have put it the wrong way otherwise.

Yo and Welcome! Take a seat my friend and have a go on this.....

Yours had Top and Bottom written on it? ermm.....awkward question but.....does your nipple at bottom of pot go upwards (into the soil) or downwards? Just to double double and triple confirm that i have mine the correct way.

Oh and good luck on ya grow dude, some pics would be well appreciated.

Sorry man,I have trouble with my pics for some reason.I just set my Albums to public if anyone wants to see a few grows.Been outta the circut for a bit more than 20 years.LOL! I got a steep learning curve but thats what makes it soo much fun. :joint:

You really can't do much now,just don't leave alot of water in your overflow pan or the roots will go into the water and then if it drys out the roots will die and possibly stunt your plants.
