Lads as some of yous maybe aware I'm growing 2 moby dick XXL and 2 Afghan Kush under 600wHPS and 300w LED. Im in a situation were I have a kid in the house so I need too keep everything tucked away and out of sight so I'm using a walk in cupboard at home. I've got 3x 6" fans in the grow room but got absolutely nowhere too install airflow ducting. I'm currently opening the door of the grow room during lights on period too allow fresh air into the room as I know co2 is important for healthy growth of my ladies, temps during lights on with the door open sits around 25-27 degrees but if I close the door it rises too around 32 . So what I want too know is this an ok practice for airflow or is it going too seriously affect my plants??? Or should I look at trying too install some form of airflow management system and if so can yous recommend anything I can do too compensate fir the lack of airflow via ducting and intake/outtake fans

Any help and advice is much appreciated

This is how I've been getting fresh air into my grow closet for years.I just have a small fan on the floor near the door that helps draw air in and it seems to work fine.

Can you drill holes inside the cupboard? would they lead to a empty space in the walls? if so, one at bottom for intake, one at top for extraction, pc fans powered by a plug in phone adapter would do the job.
got a mate who has the same growing area but he couldn't drill internal holes , so he drilled a 3 inch hole at the bottom left of his door for intake, put a pc fan on the inside blowing in, drilled another 3 inch hole at top right of door, put a pc fan blowing out for extraction.
To stop light pouring out, he hangs clothes over the top one, doesn't block the hole.
and just puts a box over the hole at the bottom, the box has one two sides missing, one at back (over the hole) and one at side (for the air to get in) the light doesn't directly come out of the hole then. He can then shut the door completely and get good temps,. he is running a GN Ms0006 model led inside it.

Cheers Namvet, just wasn't sure if the door being open was a good thing or not but the more I think about it then it's not going too be much of a problem too a plant when it grows outdoors and indoors

Borg it's a brick wall construction so drilling holes isn't a viable option. Damaging doors isn't something I'm really comfortable with and I doubt the split arse will be pleased either lol. Door ajar is my best option for now and hopefully things will turn out fine. All 4 ladies are growing well and starting too stretch but if yields are low and quality is poor I'll have too give serious consideration too purchasing a grow tent and building it within the bedroom

i grow in a bricked up cupboard, its upstairs so I extract to the roofspace.just one hole in the back corner neat n tidy.
you will need a carbon filter and extraction fan very soon,or kiddy will be askin what is that reek, and maybe neighbours to.

I used to use a 2x4x5 foot tent against the wall of my bedroom. I disguised it with a bed sheet then put all sorts of empty boxes and containers on top of it and my vacuum, water jugs, and fishing rods next to it and stuff. After I had broken up the silhouette completely, I put one of those Japanese standing paper and wood curtains around it. If you get the ventilation silent you cannot guess it is anything other than storage. I had a team of plumbers and maintenance men in my place for a week while they changed all my pipes and they never said a word. Hiding in plain sit is the best way.

Hal a free standing purpose built tent is definitely something I'll have too look into then. Something the same size as my current grow area would be ideal.....1m x 2m x 2.5m is my current area. I could then possibly use the current area for developing future seedlings under the T5 and transfer them into the tent at say 14-21 days too start the HPS and LED stage???

Would buying another 300w LED for the seedling stage be beneficial rather than the T5 I'm currently using?

Cheers lad

You can do a cardboard box with a cut out back to hide the carbon filter and fan. It took a few minutes to get into it and to put it all back everyday. That was better than being evicted and put in prison. If there is no tell tale scent or light no will ever guess.
