All NON US buyer's read This!

To be honest, I tend to agree with the OP that all manufacturers of canna products ought to be more sensitive to. GLN could have easily made there bag free of cannabis imagery. I live in a US state that is still on the extreme anti-canna side - I appreciate the need for discretion. Folks like @archie gemmill , @Maria Sanchez and the @OP live in countries where the police are much less burdened with procedural restriction than in the US.

Canna product manufacturers need to understand that we don't all live in California or Spain. that the little things matter, and that a 'cool' trendy logo that sells in Colorado might cost me my freedom in Texas. Sure, I know the risks. Sure I choose to do what I'm doing freely. Still, why risk losing a customer to the penal system if a simple logo change could prevent it?

The weed industry is in its infancy, and everything they are doing is new and untested. Its up to all of us - growers, users, and producers - to establish the baseline standards that will become the new normal as the legalization trend continues. Starting by having canna neutral packaging is an easy step that will not only make us a little safer, but will ultimately help with the image of the canna industry among the voting public.

By my reckoning the packaging was free of any imagery, it was only when opened did the offending piece of paper appear.

Therefore you can't blame the business for the packaging of their product as NOTHING on the outside seems to have given a hint towards the content, and you cannot expect any manufacturer of any kind to change their packaging to suit an individual as that packaging is their "brand" and you accept that you are buying such "branded" material so should expect their brand and logo SOMEWHERE once the external packaging is opened.

Don't want labels INSIDE packages that have a cannabis leaf on them, don't order these products. Simple as that.

Is it too much for me to want a bag without pot leaves on it? The whole point of this is that the inner packaging IS going to be seen in many places. Helping somebody avoid a life in prison by making an insignificant packaging change does not seem to be too much to ask to me. This isn't going to decrease their market, in fact it will probably INCREASE it.

I very much appreciated the HLG Lighting packaging as something that my mailman or even a cop would not have given a second thought to. I will buy from them again. If the package had pot leaves all over it, I probably would be less inclined to rebuy. Simple as that.

And that wouldn't change a thing had they decided to open the package, same as with seeds, same as with anything as the worst I've had was a sticker on a package saying "does not conform with standards under TFEU" as I bought an e-cig thing with an 8.8ml tank whereas the maximum allowed for sale in the EU is 2ml.

But I've had packages marked as "grow led" and, tbh, there's not a thing they can do about it as that does not prove any illegal activity and this is a country where "Douane" have been clamping down on such dangerous substances such as CBD oil, intercepting deliveries and actually forcing others to stop shipping to here. Yet it would not stop me ordering up anything as I know the risk does not sit with the supplier but with me, I can't blame someone else for doing nothing that actually attracts attention to my "misdemeanours" as opening the package would result in the same, in this case, as the internal packaging, delivery note, etc, will still give the game away even if the offending piece of paper wasn't there.
Lol just saying when I go to the PO to get my package I don’t want to be holding a box with pictures or words about growing anything. I don’t need people knowing my business and what I get delivered. For me worst case of a seed order gets bagged by customs I may get a letter or a package with no seeds worse case.

its a grey area for sure.and whilst i have a ton of sympathy for the OP.and others who have accidentally shot themselves in the foot.or been accidentally done over by a mate who cant send (seeds) a legal item from a legal country to another legal item (seeds) legal country without putting a value on the package.now because there is a value on the package the TAXMAN gets involved...one thing leads to another =shafted.
buyer beware buyer beware buyer beware,if in doubt ask.in the past we have had similar things happen with lights and tents.
if there isnt a bit of paranoia, then you are slacking and a slip up is just around the corner.
in my neck of the woods weed is illegal.seeds and every other thing assoiciated with smoking/growing is legal, that dosnt mean im gonna give just anybody my name and address, even if thats nutes,a pipe,or a seedbank.golden rules and all that stuff.no smell,no sell,no tell.............the no tell is everything and everybody.but in order to smoke and grow my weed i need to tell someone or id have no lights/soil etc.its a calculated risk.
:pighug:

Not having a go at you mate..
Just generalizing on what to expect through experience.
If you are worried I would always contact the sender and request stealth shipping.

It's totally on the guy for not asking to have GL ship stealth. How are they supposed to know? He was to tell them about his country, customs etc and that the must ask for stealth.

I cant believe the nerve and attitude of this guy man. He's getting severely pissed at GL but clearly this is on him. I can't believe this didn't even occur to the guy. And man this is dirty laundry. Just email GL instead of shitting all over them online like this.

And something encased in a plain silver bag is no different to the HLG packaging, police and postman won't look twice, it's just another package, arousing no more suspicion than me getting cat litter delivered.

I will try to do my best not to INSULT anybody because I'm pissed as Hell!!!

THIS IS FCKNG iLLEGAL HERE!!! :fire::fire::fire: i'M SHOCKED!!

So all of you who are ordering Mega Crop and don't live in USA be Aware..!!!

You could end up In police station or have visit one day by them...

THis is on you dude. You have to inform the shipper about what you want. I do this all the time. I ask what is it being declared as for customer paperwork. That is important to me and when it makes sense I contact the vendor. You should do the same thing with everything you order in the future. Don't expect the vendor to be able to read your mind.

And don't shit on a vendor like this in public. It is not very cool. You're going to get some bad kharma out of this.

Without the pictures of the canna leaves, its just a bag of fertilizer and no phone call ever gets made.

Except that IF customs opened the package they would see manufacturer and product name, and it would be two seconds to check on what the purpose likely would be. Therefore a company logo is irrelevant as if suspicions are already raised, and ordering plant food of any kind from the USA when you are half way around the world is likely to arouse suspicions when you think about it, as the authorities will already have an eye on you.

 I can see the "why" for alarm Cov'. really I do, and this is a big wake-up call for any who order such products and have it shipped to unfriendly countries... but the bottom line is you must look out for your own security first... I'm not hacking on you mate, or trying to pile on here, you know I'm not like that...:smoker1:.....cool off and think logically, objectively here please,... The packaging appearance is no mystery to any who order MC... If you didn't specifically request generic packaging, even label removal, how could they know to do this for you? There are no mind readers there, and you know the minion doing the packaging isn't looking out for those in harsh law countries, they are just banging out the shipping and moving on to the next package,.... Don't rely on somebody else to cover your ass for you, and if a given product looks to be a potential "hot product" you may simply have to pass on it,....
