Lighting Am I crazy?

Cool Tang I'm glad to know you guys can change the name and I'm happy to hear that you like it and think it fits the vibe, that's promising :) Maybe just change it from happy.horticulturist to Happy Horticulturist
That way it's a bit easier to read and the two capital H I can sign off as HH. That could work.

Thanks for the link to Mr ganjamoto, I have him bookmarked now in my AFN folder. I look forward to reading about his grows and learning from all the masters on here :)

Yip I think the Gravita HPS Pro and the GN LEDS will make an excellent coupling. The guys at One Stop Grow Shop who sell and love the Gravitas say that my plan is a sound one. They recommend Gravita Pro HPS over the regular Grow Lux type HPS any day. He says you can get 10% more at least with them so they pay for themselves after one grow. So really if that's true, it wouldn't make sense to pay for cheaper HPS that produce less and use the same amount of electricity and the bulbs last at least 1 year so some saving on bulbs.
Here's a link to the Gravita Pro HPS for anyone who is interested.

Anyway I gotta say i'm buzzing with excitement really buzzing. I can wait to get my stuff and get started. I'll be starting next week. I hope I do okay my first grow, I've never down DWC or Autos or LEDs or a tent before so lots of variables. I will post a detailed, interesting well documented grow journal so hopefully if I'm on the wrong course or having trouble the community here can reign me in.

Then once I'm happy with my skills I can start giving advice to other newbs as I slowly move up the ranks of growers, hopefully one day attaining rank of master grower :) Oh man I'm all smiles :D hahaha wahoo! Today is a great day.

M8 can't big up grownorthern enough there leds are simply the best about phn Danielle at grownorthern he's more than happy to advise u and help where he can.put ur Mind
at rest and speak to the man.

Sorry Tang - I only put that link in there because it had even more information about the Gravita on it than their website did. Plus it's the only place I know where to get them and thought it would be helpful to people. I'm not affiliated with that shop I've just found them to be very good so felt would be worth while sharing the knowledge and experience. I'll stay away from mentioning grow shops any more so.

Gazcyb - thanks for the recommendation. I was speaking to the Grow Northern people and they've been excellent.

pasimito - it's not my first grow ever. I've grown NFT before on my very first grow.
Also I made my very own 6 inch PVC aeroponics system similar to the one shown on this page (except mine was a third of hte over all length) https://www.icmag.com/modules/Tutorials/HydroponicsSysCon/1668.htm
Right now I'm growing in Autopots but I'm really not having much success with these for some reason. I'm not sure if I'm over feeding or under feeding them.
With the DWC / recirculating hydro systems you can check the EC and see if it's gone up or down which tells you if you're over or under feeding so I find that easier tbh. I think I'll have more success with DWC and I think using a Gravita Pro and 4 x GN LEDS will give me a nice spectrum and level of light.

:)

If you have that much money to spend why not just buy less lights but with Rebels installed? Your electricity bill will thank you for that.
You should also take into concideration the noise of those. I have 2 and it's pretty loud. Can't imagine 6 lol.

Hi Power.P. I've been considering this...

Hmmm how loud? I must checkout the specs. It will be in a room on it's own behind a closed door so I'm guessing the noise should be okay. Cheers and nice to meet you :)

High!

You should be fine bro, not that loud as such man especially behind doors...1 run 4 x MS006 and 2 x Sol pro 6 same main grow area different plots + fan and exhaust etc...
It is the bubbling water of the feed preparation that gets into my nerve sometimes :)

Go for it!

Best of luck,

Peace!
