I have recently been speaking to the owner of Amare technologies and first off got to say he is one hell of a nice guy. He like many is pretty sick of these companies screwing over growers with all their false claims. That's when he decided to start making real grow lights for strictly cannabis plants.

I recently went through a mess with one of the highest priced leds on the market and that's when I went searching.

I don't know a heck of a lot about them yet but I do know they are stacked with Cree cobs, 5 watt Cree leds and a uv bulb in the center. The par watts are very high, the spectrum is very complete and they aren't really to expensive considering the fullness of the light.

I'm just here for thoughts before I spend the money on 3 of them.

Personally If u can afford it go for it man. I love my amare panels and am working on grabbing the 450....your about to get a lot of mixed thoughts on these lights, but I've not seen one bad review. Most people are in half with the cost. But they are worth it to me. Here's some SS150 epistars at work right now.....every plant I've had under these lights so far has constantly been praying towards these lights. Growth rates are awesome for LED.....and I'm just talking from panel experience....I haven't even got to play with the 450 yet....I'm getting that when I do the rest of my upgrades....

The plants flushing are a small compact strain made for SOG style growing and I messed them up....but the other ones are bigger girls and about to go crazy! I love the growth rate from these lights!

Wow they do look great.

Cost of the lights are minimal compared to my recent catastrophes, had a cheap hps catch fire then spent 3k on 2 kind k5 1000 watt panels and after a week 31 LEDs burned out. Amare is also having a 4/20 special till the end of April and a little extra discount for buying multiple lights.

I look at it like this, money can buy you real nice shit. I just don't want to buy these if they are that much over priced or the results won't cover the cost. The components are top of the line as far as I know so that alone should drive the price up.

Warranty is amazing as well...lots of people are DIY with cobs....but what makes amare different from the other COB companies is the 5w chips surrounding each cob, the patterned lens for the cobs. The UV is nice but not a deal maker as that's easy to add anywhere in the garden, more cool that it's on there than anything lol

Another question I have is I am vegging now under Mars hydros. Cheap eBay 600 watt ones. Because autos are so damn sensitive, what's the best way to ease them into the new lights when I get them hung?

My space is 3x10 which is odd enough but with overhanging plants/leaves I will be at 4x12 I'm thinking i will need 3 of the 450's that cover 4x4.

3 would b perfect for 4X12 from what I understand. To b honest I can only give personal insight into the 150s. But I've been told the SS260 and the SE250 and 450 are on a whole other level man...@stepside @Wile e Peyote between us three we have all the lights lol so might get a good round about of info from them adding stuff in too. And vic is awesome, about time does me to see how he's doing actually....if u talk to him today tell him discretepete from AFN says hey! Lol

Guess I posted in the proper forum. Maybe discreet Pete qualifys under friends and family. Yes4x12

Heat is also an issue like most rooms. Being so efficient I hope to save a few bucks on cooling too
