Live Stoner Chat Amsterdam CoffeeShop Thread

It's not cheap out there Blue, similar prices to the UK but better? more choice of weed, and can smoke on site
Now if you go to a bar and purchase a few pints of lager and the inevitable happens, thats when I think it takes the piss! :-)

£12 a gram!! GTFO! lol

I know all about the Amsterdam beer trap!! I dread to think what it costs these days. Another tip .. if you fancy a beer, don't have it in the nice looking place on the main square (dam square? damrak? damsak? i'm terrible with directions and some of those dutch names could have been written in alien i was so stoned!)
I think i paid over £6 a pint a good 8 or 9 years ago!!

I'm a little frugal - and the bill got me in a sweat! lol (just the injustice of it!!)

You should get the train to Zandvort aan Zee! Only 30 mins? From Centraal (Amsterdam) and you have Le Paz and Yank's!

I believe all Good Dutch people go to the beach there?

Yes, the brasses are definitely worth taking the stroll for at night. Just for the viewing pleasure, of course, :porn perv:

Don't purchase any Cuban cigars either, the shyster shop owner I bought mine at sold me a repro. Didn't realize it until I returned to the hotel and fired it up. I suppose just like any other large city there are always going to be con artists making coin off of unwitting tourists.

There is indeed lots to do in Amsterdam, whether you're in the mood to party, or in the mood to just take it easy, get lost in the many alleys and stray away a bit from the "touristic" stuff. But at the end of the day when the munchies gets the better of you and you feel like you're turning into cookie monster ready to gobble down whatever you see is eatable, I recommend going the The Butcher. Oooohhh mannn...I get the munchies just thinking about the place...IMO the best burger in town. It's a bit outside the city center (Albert Cuypstraat), but worth the walk!!! And believe me...you will appreciate the walk (more like rolling) back to the city center as you'll be feeling overly full with a bit of regret of eating so much like there would be no tomorrow"munch". But the next day you'll be willing to do it all over again!!..

Just wanted to share a good burger spot, instead of going to Hard Rock Cafe (which you can find all over the world) or some restaurant of that sort.

I hope this was not that off-topic, but a man has got to satisfy his craving right?...

I think I was at same square and the bar was Eurobar. Empty and clean looking. But 13 euros for a max 6% beer bit too steep.

Well said.................redyellowgreenblack!

I have sampled these too! Food is so much better than Mac's, Burger King and Wendies when you have the munchies!

On a personal note, can I add Hunters to this list? When they have them, their Orange Bud's are superb!

I remember a coffe shop called Hunters (they had a reward card system! You bought your 1st deal and they gave you 2 stickers, then each time y`bought another deal, they gave you another sticker. I bought 2.5g bag of `Highrise`, when the budtender handed me my reward card, little did he realize that in his `rather bored/continually stoned state`, he had inadvertantely allowed `3 rogue stickers` to attach themselves to my card  Now, given that there were 4 of us, all buying something at the same time...We managed t`accumulate enough stickers, that by the last day (day 5) and the fact that we had spunked just about every collective penny we had in the whole bleedin` world. Well, that Reward Card came in very handy! If I remember correctly, we exchanged our `loyalty` points for Royal Afghan and some Scuff! lol Got us through the trip home though! :smoke:

Hey yawl, this thread is beyond my expectations. Good stuff posters. Blue, I have been twice and done all the tourist stuff, ie Van G museum and Ann F house. (Bigger than I expected) and etc etc.

I asked my hotel guide what tram to get to Van G museum. She said Four or five.
Which I took as 405.(add on the Dutch accent) and got so lost I was Fecked. Lost one of my pals on the way and our hotel luggage went to Hungary! C'est La Vie.
Still love the memories though

Keep up the good n the bad .......eP.
