Ooo! --nice CMH! :d5: ...Scar, 707 usually is OK for seedlings, but autos do vary a great deal in their tolerances, plus a "hot" batch can happen too,... in the future, dig out about few cups worth of soil and place a seedling mixin there, or blend with some of the 707,... Another possibility is off-pH, which can also happen with bag soils, even good ones,... when you see tip/edge yellowing, on a seedling, it's usually one of, sometimes both of these things,... Oh-- and light intensity! :greencheck: How close is that CMH? Seedlings want less intense light until older, a few full sets of leaves; too close can also start symptoms like this, though I think you're okay? What does the manufacturer say about this? Most will have recommendations for distances..... It's not that bad though, so water really well a couple times, and add something like Superthrive or Jump Start to help stimulate rooting and reduce shock,...
Can you get a pH of that soil from the bag? The perlite should also cut the hotness down some, BTW,... You can do a crude run-off test from bag soil: make up about 1/2 gal pot, moisten well and let it sit for several hours, then pour through your usual water until you get about 8oz of liquid collected from a clean container/saucer.. test with pH meter and let us know...

Wow thanks for the info.. the cmh is about as far away as it can be (they do get pretty hot) I can gain aprox 4 more inches, that's about it. There is about 38 inches from plant to light. I do have Root 66 was hesitant to use it, went with Root 66 instead of the thrive alive.
I will get the crude run off test tomorrow. Great advice!!

I see the dunks and sticky traps, is there a history of infestation? A fungus gnat or thrip infestation may have already been in the bag, the larva could cause root problems and result in these symptoms.

Hey what's good. I bought them cause I did find fungus gnats, only way could have got them was from the soil. Very disappointing, I've treated the soil with the dunks and currently using the traps. First grow in my new house so I can say I didn't have a problem prior. I find the mofos like to hide around the base of the fabric pots, been trying to keep the watering to a minimum to hold the gnats off to break the cycle. Have dry dunks crushed up on top of the soil and half dunk soaking in 2 gallons of ph water. I will say the dunk changed the ph of the water. I added 1/2 dunk to 2 gallon of water ( 6.0 ph) 3 days later the ph was 7.1 so I re adjusted the ph hoping it doesn't affect the strength of the dunks in the 2 gallons of water.

I closely inspect my plants daily, hourly and I do not see any larvae on the base of the roots. Actually I'm gonna post some new pics Heavily Med.

Medicated....please take a look.. now I'm paranoid, I do not see larvae but it looks like my root stems are splitting or something...

I've been fighting fungus gnats all damn winter and can only seem to keep them down to noneconomic proportions. Got the little bastards from some Kind Soil crap I pissed around with. I used the mosquito bits, which are preground dunks, a half inch deep over the entire surface and watered in. Yellow sticky traps all over, and finally parasitic nematodes. I still catch adults on the sticky traps though very low numbers. Your girls just kind of had that look to me to suspect insect problems.

Take a slice of raw potato about a 1/2 inch thick. Take the potato slice and lay on top of the soil and just kind of work it in a little. Leave it alone for 24 hours. Look on the bottom of the potato that was face down on the dirt. If you are infested very bad, you will see larva on that potato.
