Lighting Any recommendations for supplemental lighting ?

Hi guys, would appreciate a little advice for some supplemental lighting. I have a 1.2 sq metre tent with a 400w HPS, I currently have six girls close to finish, and I just planted 6 2 days ago, I'm looking to add a few more to my collection so I want a little extra light for my girls. If any one could help me out I would be very greatful, I am looking at spending about £100.

Get another 400w hps, two of them at the same time means you get the lumens of 1000w but you are only using 800w, also means you can get the lights alot closer than a 1000w hps and there is more light evenly dispersed around your grow room. Its what i do and it works great.

Thank you Braiain, I totally agree with what your saying. I will give it some serious thought, may have to upgrade my extraction fan to handle the temp of another HPS. Plus the thought of getting 1000watts for the price of 800watts is very tempting.

Yes you will need a good extraction fan for two lights to be cooled at once. You should probably run the air to the cool tubes on a seperate line to your carbon filter as you will need colder air to cool two lights. The air from the carbon filter line will probably not be sufficent as its mostly hot air passing threw it.

Yeah that's a good idea, at the moment the 400w I have is just a regular reflector, no cool tube. If I get a cool tube that means buying another extractor fan as well. I could just buy an oversized fan to use for carbon filter and cool tube. It's not ideal but if I added a speed controller for it I think it would work sufficiently.

Sorry, and use a Y piece to connect so hot air isn't been sucked through the cool tube.
