Mephisto Genetics Anyone else having issues with Grape Crinkle?

This may be obvious to you but having the lights too close will also mean less stretch. Are you keeping a good distance ?

Is your soil recycled or fresh ?

How often do you feed ?

Also leaving all that runoff in the tray below can lead to issues with humidity, root rot etc

Theres just too many factors that can contribute, i hope you get it solved

Yeah it's only this strain though.
I keep the leds 24 inches away when they're seedlings and then let the plants grow into them or raise them when needed.

The soil is fresh roots organics soil. I use mephisto supersoil on all of my grows except this one I'm only using plain roots organics with some added craft mix from build a soil. No feed water only. I was trying this thinking maybe the supersoil stunted them the first two times so I went with a lighter mix and no super soil. And it still happened. Maybe she's just super sensitive and roots organics is too hot for her idk.

And hands were washed each time. Like no cigarette residue or anything like that causing contamination of any kind.

Also how has they grown. Have they been slow from the very start or did they stall at done point after normal growth?

We just need to try and rule out any variables you can think of. Because it doesn't sound like a pheno thing to be that small. 5 inches indicates something else I would imagine.

No didn't wash my hands I should start doing that but still doesn't explain why it's always Grape Crinkle that does it?
They seemed to grow normal for the most part and then just never got a stretch they just entered flowering at like 14 days old and never grew after the first pistils showed

I don't think it's pheno related either but I think they may be sensitive to my soil idk

Did you feel the weight of the pot before watering. I recently came across a strain who stopped drinking and became completely water logged i literally let it got thirsty for over a week then started watering again in much smaller quantites and then saw an explosion.


Anyways im just guessing here as iv never grown a GC but best of luck working it out.

No they never really look hungry at all. Yeah I usually barely water them so if anything it's underwatering which very well could stunt them.

I'm at a loss. I was gonna say maybe my cob's were too much for mine but ten other girls didn't agree.

I had some major issues in bloom with some strains due to high ph tap water before I switched to distilled/RO so maybe that's it. It doesn't appear to be anything Mephisto's done, I just still have to still wonder if it's related to the GC genetics?, who knows?

I have a new GC goin right now with no probs so far, and it's from one of Flat Top's seeds so I'll see what happens there. Of course it's got some Portal genetics now too, so...

Any time a seed looks freaky when young or stunted I cull it right away and start another. But three in a row and you are an experienced grower. Something odd there.

What's up guys it's been a while since I've been active here but I've been having some issues with Grape Crinkle and was wondering if anyone else has Experienced anything like this.

This is my third Grape Crinkle to do this no other plants do it. I've tried two in mephisto super soil and this one in plain roots organics because I was thinking the supersoil was too hot for her but that's not he case now.

The batch of crinkle I got all germed quick with big tails and grew pretty quickly so far they are day 8 I think ...the crinkles are like 5 inches tall and .. I put 2 in garbage soil and they are doing great so maybe it's a bad seed I dunno

Autoflowa, even if you get a small one you'll probably enjoy her so much it'll take the sting out, she's on a lot of favorites lists including mine
