Mephisto Genetics Anyone else having issues with Grape Crinkle?

well I am 1 for 1 with GC beans... smallest Mephisto in the tent (with a SS, 3BOG and FE), but quite a bit bigger than 5 inches lol

Yup water farm, my first one looked like your girl, only not quite as good lol
And I've grown out a 24 Carat with no problems, these are just not large strains.
Except for anything @HotBunz grows - he makes'em into large strains!

Here's my GC from the reg beans I made
It's crossed with NW's Sour Lemon from the Portal ( @Eyes on Fire turned me onto that one, thanks! )
Fingers crossed for a girl.
Had not intended to grow any of my new seeds out yet but couldn't help myself

I'm at a loss. I was gonna say maybe my cob's were too much for mine but ten other girls didn't agree.

I had some major issues in bloom with some strains due to high ph tap water before I switched to distilled/RO so maybe that's it. It doesn't appear to be anything Mephisto's done, I just still have to still wonder if it's related to the GC genetics?, who knows?

I have a new GC goin right now with no probs so far, and it's from one of Flat Top's seeds so I'll see what happens there. Of course it's got some Portal genetics now too, so...

Yeah not a problem when it's crossed to other strains. All of my crosses have grown perfectly normal no major midgets but I'm only on F2 the F3 run is going on now. But probably went through more than 40 plants just on this runs selections so it's not a problem when crossed just when grown by itself. Of course the mom was a normal grape crinkle that wasn't a midget.

The batch of crinkle I got all germed quick with big tails and grew pretty quickly so far they are day 8 I think ...the crinkles are like 5 inches tall and .. I put 2 in garbage soil and they are doing great so maybe it's a bad seed I dunno

Hopefully they stay that way for you. Mine were normal and then just stopped growing when the pistils showed. Best of luck that you eat some great plants. I don't think it's a problem with GC I think I just got majorly unlucky lol

Sour lemons are big plants I've heard! You might be in for a treat. Maybe the sour lemon is over powering the flat top lol

I think I am in for a treat, the combination of the two seems to hold some strong possibilities

It will be interesting to see if anything unusual shows in the cross, for after all it was flat-top I seeded!
