Hi AFN! :)

I have a friend who suffers from anxiety induced by normal weed. She never gets anxiety, only when she smokes weed; and her attacks are pretty serious - she's had to stop smoking it.

She was the person who introduced me to smoking this wonderful herb and I want to help her. I checked my seedstock and what do ya know! I had a auto blueberry (dutch passion) only one bean though, it's cracked and it's germinating now.

Is the auto blueberry (dutch passion) an advisable strain to give to a person whom suffers from anxiety induced by weed? I've read it's indica dom & is a very mellow and calm high; will this suffice for her needs?

I also have other strains in stock but most are not suited for her anxiety, only the ABB is.

Any advice is much appreciated, and thank you for taking the time to read my thread. :fire:

Hiya Jumbo, might want to hit the med section and ask your question there. general chat might not get you the best response. Those folks over in the med section can narrow down a few strains for weed induced anxiety for ya!!

I have noticed no paranoia when smoking Russian rocket fuel by short stuff.

I can only speak for myself and people I know who have discussed weed-related paranoia with me and I would recommend avoiding strains with very high THC and low CBD content. For example, skunk seems to induce anxiety and paranoia both me and my partner. First day in Amsterdam we hit a coffee shop and bought a super silver haze joint. Paranoia!! We were accustomed to our own Northern Lights and didn't realise there'd be strains out there we couldn't handle. I stick to strains now that have very little skunk in the breeding lineage.

I think you'll find anything high in CBD will keep anxiety at bay. Two photo strains excellent for anti-anxiety are CBD Crew Critical Mass and Royal Queen Seeds Royal Highness. A buddy cuts high THC joints with the Royal Highness and gets off his dial without his typical jumpiness. Tried his trick and it's a real pleasant high. The CBD Critical Mass gets you high enough on its own and never any anxiety from it. Hope this helps...

Hi Jumbo... I find the ABB does not cause any issues with anxiety and have grown it twice. Harvesting when trichomes have turned amber will help. Clear/ cloudy trichomes normally increase my anxiety levels...
As SS mentioned above the high cbd strains would also be effective...:Sharing One:

Thank you Duggy! (and everyone else for your replies!! :3) :)

What a relief. The ABB is now 3 days old, growing vigorously outdoors under the australian sun. Will start a grow journal about her, and thank you for the advice; will be harvesting her later than normal to allocate time for the trichomes to turn amber.

Cheers all.

If someone gets Paranoid from weed my only advice is to stop smoking it. Experiments with other strains wont help ya firend. Some Peoples Brains arent made for weed/drugs and they should better leae it alone then ;)

Quite a massive difference between paranoia & anxiety; having gone through both I can say there is a massive, massive difference.

Paranoia is very easy to control, an anxiety attack is not. Everything feels like its moving in slow motion, you feel like your heart is going to explode from your chest & you cant properly understand anything around you. I've found that some strains with sativa genetics (20% - 30% sativa) will induce only paranoia that subsides shortly after, whilst sativa dom strains (70%+) will induce anxiety attacks.

ABB I have grown, but never smoked sadly; so this will be new for me & my "patient" :)

Thank you all! :)
