SeedBank : Dutch Passion

Strain: AutoMazar

Did it autoflower?: Y right on time.

Soil/hydro: Dutch Treat soil

Nutes: General Hydroponics Flora line

Light: 210 watt (draw) PowerBloom 6 LED on a 20 Hour schedule

From seed to harvest date: _102_days

Dry Yield: 45 g. In all fairness, they were my first Auto's and I didn't know about rudi's watering preferences.

High/Effect/Duration: *****

This is where it shines, folks. Good pain relief. Not a nightcap! Sativa like strong euphoria that lasted over 2.5 hours! Gentle come-down. The scissor hash blew me away.

Not the heavy or narcotic effects I was after, but it reduces pain and is a very joyful daytime/evening smoke. I always vape, but I rolled a joint to compare the effects and they were pretty much the same, with vapor being a bit more "brightening" at the onset.

RATE SCALE: *bad, *****outstanding

BAG APPEAL: ****

Light green buds with contrasting long red pistils and shiny trichomes. Buds didn't have time to bulk up, but they are very pretty. Not all that dense.

THE GROWTH: ***

Everything was normal until after the colas developed. Resin production was slow but I ran out of time and had to chop.

THE SMELL: *****

During growth: Nothing the filters couldn't handle. Note to self: If I grow this again, get a 3rd big Ona gel for harvest day!

Buds: Ahh. Sweet, floral, fruity and a bit cheesy.
Sometimes I stick my nose in into my small jar even when I am not going to load a bowl.

Like my sense of humor, the cheesiness is more pronounced on the smaller plant's buds.
....Unlike my sense of humor, they are getting even sweeter with cure.

THE VAPOR/SMOKE: ****

Vapor: Newly dried buds were smooth and mild, even at higher temps from a whip. Curing improved it. Tastes like it smells but with a hint of citrus on the exhale. More time to ripen would have enriched the taste.

Smoke: from a joint was smooth going in and out- can't comment on the taste because for the last 5 years I have been vaping, and nowadays smoke just tastes like smoke.

Nice smoke report!! Tossing you down some rep for the efforts, thanks for taking the time!

Only 10 more days of cure has brought out more of the the bud's cheesy smells. A bit sharp, but it will probably soften. The real transformation though, is in the effects. A bit more indica body effects, and 1 hour in, music was kaleidoscopic CEV. An hour later I was starting to feel heavy. Very nice weed, indeed.

What's this rudis watering preference? I'm growing one my self and I'm having trouble keeping her happy for some reason she get droopy all the time. Maybe this could help me?

Hi Amber

Turns out that these plants prefer to be watered a little, but frequently. I was watering to drain, which was way to much for the dears. Plus, because I read that
they can grow to be big plants and they don't like being transplanted, I started them in big 5 gal fabric pots.

It looked like a nutrient problem, and I couldn't figure it out- Photos and clones like a bit more water less frequently, auto's are the opposite. By the time I learned about watering auto's, I had flushed them a couple of times, which I am sure hurt them even more. They still produced excellent weed, though, and to be honest, getting 1 1/2 oz from them is miraculous, given their long struggle.

The old pros will give better advice, but my next autos are going to be watered less but more often, and I will go back to 3 gal fabric pots so they dry out faster.
Also, some of the breeders are recommending 1/3 perlite or coco to the soil. The soil I buy is pretty loose, but I have added perlite even for the photo Sour D plants I am growing now.

Ok, first I have to add that the above post was from the M2 jar.

So they have been curing for almost 6 weeks. I sampled some of the M1 jar, and they are completely different. M1 isn't cheesy at all, but has developed more of a fruity, floral scent and taste which is very pleasant, though I would have liked it to be stronger on the nose and tongue.

M1 is mellow and cerebral. The weather forecast is clear and creative developing into foggy spaces. A nice day for a daydream, creative tangents, or a picnic. Seriously, I almost at a bag of mini-pretzels, and I can't wait to have some of this M1 in the springtime, surrounded by birdsong and the essence of gardens in the air.

Actually, I am enjoying that spring day right now, as I write! :baked: tangents. ;-)

Both phenos are very good for reducing both my arthritic and neuro pain!
