Good evening friends!

I just had a to post a warning about this strain. Some of you may have read my rants about my Jack Herer from RQ but I think I have found someone else with the same experience that I am having with it!

Royal queen seeds rant

This link is found on the Seed Finder site under the review of the plant. I really think RQ had another couple years to tweak the strain before they released it. I don't know if their negative reviews are based on this one review or if they have some experience but the strain is not liked on Seed Finder! Wish to God I had found this info when I bought the seeds, I would have picked something else for sure!

Mine has been growing 14 weeks now! I thought it was something I was doing (had a week with accidental overheating) but now am convinced this is just the strain...

If leaves were what we are after this would be the best plant ever! Unfortunately buds are small and airy. Planning on letting it grow until Thanksgiving but then it is going to be harvested for what little bud I can get from it.

Here are the pics I could get tonight.

I worked today, had a huge spaghetti dinner, and can't muster the energy to change my light to the fluorescent fixture so we are stuck with the LED lighting for the time being:coffee: Haha!!

Here are the pathetic flowers of the main cola:

Note there was indeed some heat damage to some leaves from a malfunctioning heater. This was found quick and corrected and the plant only suffered damage to some of the fan leaves of the main cola. No other growth problems at all. Here is a top pic of a bud that received no damage:

And here is a full shot of the plant, again currently at 14 weeks (flowering now for around 5 weeks):

This may be a pheno of the strain that I had the misfortune to sprout but after reading the other report I have to say that this seems to be the main growth pattern. Hairs are beginning to turn now, almost certain the plant is doomed, unless I have a pleasant surprise of some sort of flowering explosion that is just around the corner. At this point I am so tired of growing it and it being disappointing that I look forward to the end of it...

looking good mate! :slap:

Ya, I currently have some Green O Matic buds in my vaporizer... Those Indica's really turn off your "stop eating sensor" until it's far too late:Stones slap:

If you read the thread the link sends you to you find that Royal Queen did step up to the plate in the end and sent him some seeds, as well as telling him that it was not the way the plant should grow... Um, ya.... Sure! Here's more proof, they need to pull the strain for sure before more people waste their time and money!

I had 2 of those in my last grow. Sprouted 5. But, killed um. They had a way late jump. Took 15 weeks I think. Got a good yield but not great. Definitely airy buds. Smoke was mostly sativa. Should had made oil with um.

I think we discussed that on an earlier thread I posted... I'm still growing the same plant haha!! Never again that's for sure!!

Yes you could be very right.

Did you mean "way late jump" as in a late flowering blast?? That would be something to be looking forward to at least, a glimmer of hope!!
