So here goes. Returned from 20 days away to find my girls alive and not too much worse for the neglect. We did fill up a massive water butt and rig up a thingy with a felt mat underneath the pot, but while this prevented them from drying out completely, the soil had moved away from the sides of the pot considerably and looked pretty parched when we arrived, but the plants themselves looked okay.

I have been giving a litre of water every hour since we arrived home at noon, trying to rehydrate the soil gradually, will give them both some Bio Bizz Fish Mix at sundown.

The plants broke soil, 18 or so hours apart, they have both been in the same pot from day 7 but today at 35 days old, Rasputia ( for that is what I have named the big girl) is exactly 24 ins tall and Thumbellina (the Lilliputian) is only 7 ins tall. Go figure! Same feeding/watering regime.

Both showed sex while we were away so can't accurately say when they preflowered.

Harvested 40 Chillies (Habaneros and Scotch Bonnets) this afternoon from 6 plants and the Trinidad Moruga Scorpions have even decided to join the party - both of them are really on their way now. They seem to need much more heat and sunlight to fruit, but now we have liftoff:cool:

Very nice garden impressive. . Nice pulling off a 20 day trip and coming home to healthy plants.

Thanks! It did rain slightly twice we were told and that must have helped, but I am really chuffed nevertheless.

I can only wonder what this girl (Rasputia) would have ended up like without the 3 weeks of neglect. She is throwing out bud sites like mad and lots of side branching. She has grown 4 inches in 5 days and is also spreading out like crazy. I have never had any of my MJ plants do so well so not sure whether she is unusual. I am yet to add bloom nutes as I have decided to go with the no bloom nutes until vertical growth has stopped/slowed down school of canna culture. She seems to like the BioBizz fish mix. Now have to decide when to add the BioBizz bloom and Topmax.

her little sister Thumbellina the one cola midget is still tiny but in flower also.

Okay, my Buddha Magnums are exactly 6 weeks old today. I was planning to add bloom nutrients to Fish Mix by now, but the plant has grown 7 ins in 7 days. I fed/watered her 2 days ago and measured her height she stood 28 inches tall. This afternoon I wondered over for a look and the pot was light as anything and she had grown another 2+ inches since Wednesday.

i just want some advice/reassurance that I am correct in thinking a plant that is growing an inch or so a day vertically and also spreading out is not slowing down/stopping vertical growth yet. I fed/watered her again with only Fish Mix as she seems to be loving it.

Will I compromise flower quality/density if I don't start bloom nutes soon? She has multiple branching and many bud sites already.

the grow has me baffled on many levels...... Why is her sibling in the same pot a primordial dwarf and she a big a#* girl. In any event I don't care about the runt, just trying to maximise the yield and quality of Rasputia my big girl.

So excited about this grow can't stop looking at her :woohoo::woohoo:

And the chillis keep coming

Shes definitely starting to flower. I would consider going half and half with grow and flower nutes for 2 more weeks or until you notice vertical growth has stopped.

It is exciting! You are doing a great job! :smokeit:

Seems like every grow we have had lately, we've had a runt.
They still make good medicine.

:Sharing One:
