If they was in the UK I don't think they will dry out till about March now! winter on its way
3c yesterday morning, looking forward to scraping the frost off my van window
Understand any security measures, will just have to be quick :-)

when I first moved here I found the heat excessive and oppressive - since I discovered I could grow my own Canna; every morning I think, bring on the excessive and oppressive heat cos the herb loves it.....

Thinking of coming over to the UK end of October, I have to say I am looking forward to the cold....

Easier to warm up than cool down, I'm a typical Brit, was moaning I was too hot last week and now moaning too cold
Funnily :-) been to a few Islands in the med. and always avoid July/August if possible, remember 1 time in Sardinia and nearly died, one of the only times I never moaned going into shops to the Mrs!

If you do come to the UK, enjoy the refreshing walk off the plane

Day 69. Pot all dried up from the weekends deluge. This girl really drinks like a fattie. I watered with 3 litres of water and fed biobizz bloom, topmax and plagron PK 13-14.
I have to make some decisions re harvest time, cos no sign of yellowing leaves yet and I am going away for ten days in a couple of weeks, so I either take her down in ten days time at 80 days or in 24 days time at 94 days. Daytime temperatures still mid 20s and night temps 19-21 so no real issues unless it starts raining like mad which I doubt will happen.

Day 72. Pot was dry and light again so fed 4 litres water, biobizz bloom and top max and Plagron PK 13-14. I will only give water next week in case I decide to harvest at day 80. If I change my mind about harvest dates, I will feed again just before I travel.

those are so pretty. have you checked the weather forcast wile you will be away? the day you come home you could chop..

Thanks for stopping by Elvis. Long term Weather forecast says upper 20s during the day and 19/20 nights during my absence. Problem with island weather this time of year is thunderstorms that come out of nowhere and beat the c*#p out of everything sometimes for up to 48 hrs.

the supreme leader (my husband) is totally clueless re gardening and he leaves home early and comes home after dark so can't rely on him to avoid/spot issues while I am away. He is also pressuring me to take her down Day 80 cos this is the only smoke we will have for the next 90 or so days and he thinks I am being a bit too relaxed about the risk to our potential stash. Bird in hand and all that jazz.

What do you think? :smoke:

Day 73, yesterday I spotted a dead sugar leaf in the top cola and I pulled it off and the bud behind it. As I am an unashamed Muddy groupie, went and reread stuff he has written re bud rot. So I came out today to have a looksie and there was another dead sugar leaf at the same general area. Close examination revealed a spot of rot. I have chopped off all the top cola and it is now drying in paper bag in shoe box.

Anyways on on close examination of the bud rot area, I could see a web, stupid insects trying to mess my buds up. So wet weight of this bit 49g

Photos are of weigh in, of plant after her severe haircut and of the top cola before I chopped her up for drying. The close ups are of the bud rot area. And in the scale pics the offending bud is by herself in the corner of the kitchen towel.

Can any one tell me if I have to tape off the bit exposed by the top cola being chopped off. Mr Muddy are you there?
