this is a question for all you 'experienced' growers out there.
i dont know if this has been asked before so....
which,in your opinion, is the best strain(s) for a beginner?
yield, size, ease of grow, light & nute requirement, etc.
i know looking through the never ever, ever, ever ending lists of seed upon seed upon seed can be quite overwhelming for us newbs:help:
im sure you dudes all have your favs so spread the love people and pimp out your ladies.

Pick something that suits the amount of space you have....maybe check out some of the grow logs here on AFN to see what you like the looks of....try something that finishes fairly quickly so you can see results sooner....I know what you mean about all the choices but that's the fun part, don't get too hung up on it....

If you really want a specific recommendation, post up the particulars of your setup- size, lights, growing method you will use, etc. and I'm sure someone will suggest their favorite.....good luck!

From personal experience and from watching other people grow it I would recommend a Critical cross. Automatic Critical Mass from Big Buddha Seeds and Advanced BioDiesel Mass would be good ones to look at. They grow well in most conditions that I've seen. They take a lot of abuse and keep on giving so it's a great plant to learn from as she'll let you hurt her just a little before she says stop.

Yields aren't the best but they're certainly nothing to grumble about and it's a great smoke.

I learned a lot growing Automatic Critical Mass and I have met many people on here who have learnt just as much from BioDiesel Mass.

Worth a look at anyways.

Peace

Im doing my first auto grow and went simple. No crazy crosses, just good ol Northern Lights....which is said to be a beginner plant you can make mistakes with.

lights is pretty much ma fav mate, that'll def be next. i thought the same originally so thats why a went for good old skunk. prob gony get a bit big for ma cupboard but av got an attic ;)
@rivalfish
ma mates father in law has done a few different criticals that are always good but he only does photos.
the smaller the better really, yield is not so much of an issue compared to taste. am startin to get a bit of a fever, havin to stop maself germinatin seeds coz a dont have the room.:help:

Agree that anything with Critical genes in it can take abuse. I grew Himalayan Blue Diesel as one of my first autos and had a LOT of fun, not a tricky plant, even with my horrible conditions starting out.

Any Dragon's...... jet47, speedy G (Flash seed's).....and the highRise auto's where a breeze........

Just curious what the yields and size of the critical crosses are....I was thinking pineapple express for my next grow, if not pineapple then maybe afghan kush?
