Live Stoner Chat BEST STRAIN FOR BI-POLAR AND ANXIETY???

Can anybody recommend a good strain? My wife has bipolar disorder with bad anxiety. There's a lot more to the story but I won't write a book. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Cannabry thank you very much. I did some searching too was kinda looking for some first hand knowledge. Like something not too strong she's smoked before but when she does the anxiety turns to paranoia. But thanks again I'll check out those links and do some more reading

I don't have any experience with bipolar but I have had trouble with anxiety. For me a high CBD strain, like DPs CBD Kush, works much better. I feel more relaxed and much less anxious. They're also usually lower in THC, which makes it less overwhelming and easier to dose.

It feels so good to know I'm not the only one fighting this battle with my lady. Hang tough bro ! God I can sympathize. Does she get worse anxiety when she smokes ? In my experience, the paranoia/anxiety often induced from smoking generally happens in people with low to no tolerance. The more often she smokes, the less likely she will be to have that side affect. Once I got my ladies tolerance up, she loved smoking and chokes as much if not more than me now. She seems to respond well to Sativas and 50/50 hybrids. Her absolute favorite is Kali Mist.... really seems to level her out. It's all good now, unless we run out..... then there's trouble in paradise. Regardless, beats the shit outta anti-depressants.

All that being said - it takes a special kinda person to tolerate a bi-polar partner. I applaud your patience and efforts!

Thanks tetra. I'd way rather battle bipolar than fight something unknown. We only figured it out a little more than a year ago. There was a whole lotta bullshit before finding out but it all makes sense now. Thanks for the response

Hi Stepside, I suffer with bi-polar disorder and anxiety, and so does my daughter, ive been able to significantly reduce the amount of "legal" meds I take ,cutting my mood stabiliser and my antipsychotic meds in half and my daughter is currently "legal" med free. I find good sativas really help with low mood (Kali Mist from Serious seeds being one of my faves as well) and a good strong indica for when im manic/cant sleep. Of course NEVER stop legal meds without first consulting your P-doc, the effect of withdrawal from these so called "legal meds" is just awful. Strains that ive found useful are Dutch passion Strawberry Cough, Kali Mist for depression and THSeeds Mk Ultra(for sleep). Im currently trying Dutch passions CBD Skunk/haze and can honestly say it defo delivers a anxiety free buzz, hope this is of some help, keep plugging away, peace HC.
