Hey Everyone - wanted to share some weekly updates.


Blue Amnesia - Day 25

This girl is growing like craaaaazy :jaw: definitely the tallest quickest growing plant I've had and I think that it has to be due to the LED. I've probably said this before but this is my first time vegging with an LED so it's almost like the first time all over again.

She just got fed 2 days ago, 5ml/gal of sensi grow, 5ml/gal cal/mag, 2.5ml/gal voodoo juice, 2.5ml/gal B52.

Two other things that are brand new for me with this girl; A) first 9+ finger leaves haha kinda cool and B) these air pots are starting to dry out QUICK, with the smart pots its not till probably mid to late flower before I need to water every 72 hours but this air pot is already about there haha.

One question though; does she look a little stretched to anyone? I've had my light 18" away per the GN manual here, but not sure if it looks like it should be a bit closer.




Candy Kush - Day 60

She looks like she is getting ready to start finishing off. Fed her last night and this is the second feeding in a row that I have cut the nutes way back going only 2.5ml/gal Sensi Bloom, 5ml/gal calmag and no additives.

Next feed I will start the cleanse for her, I'm thinking she has around 2 - 2.5 weeks left.

Any one have experience using Sledgehammer during a cleanse? Not sure if it would be good to hit her with that once at the very beginning.



The last pic is of a kind of crazy looking bud that was buried under a ton of foliage haha looks the most like a traditional flower to me.

How's she doing man? I'm loving my blue amnesia. I have another that has a leaf around the cotyledon like that. Maybe something with this strain?

I'm lovin the BA so far, from day one she has just been exploding with growth, I just posted new pictures. I've decided that there may still be some genetic kinks being worked out of this strain, because if you have that same wonky leaf it seems like it could be genetic or something. Also, I don't know if you notice this with your's, but I have a good amount of non-uniform or symmetrical leafs; meaning a bunch with one extra finger or early on, when you can really see them grow in pairs, a mismatch of finger on the leaf sets.

I'm seeing the mismatch of fingers on my second plant as well. No deformities on the first..just crazy fast growth!

So I noticed something kinda strange with my Blue Amnesia; for some reason one of the bud sites has completely twisted itself horizontal and it looks like another 1 or 2 are wanting to do the same thing. Anyone have any idea what causes this?

Hey Everyone! So, it's been awhile since I gave an update so this may be a pretty big one haha.

Candy Kush - Day 73 - Chopped!

These first photo's are actually from about a week ago. After I took this picture I ran 3 gals of water (2 with 1 tsp of Sledgehammer and 1 just pHed) to try and flush any remaining nutes and let it finish up for another 5-7 days.



Last night was the big night and she got chopped down! trimmed it all up for a final wet weight of 239 grams.

I am going with a different drying method this time, previously I had hung dry, because my tent it still in use with the Blue Amnesia. I am trying the brown bag drying method and have created a small cardboard box with ventilation to put in my tent. in the cardboard box are the three bags, 2 with buds 1 with trim.

The trim I am going to let dry and then I bought some bubble bags and I am going to do a dry ice kief extraction, to eventually be used in my first attempt at making hard candies. I'm super stoked about this!




Blue Amnesia - Day 38

So, the last few days have been a rpough one for the Blue Amnesia. Her growth has been phenomenal so far, to the point were I have run out of room at the top of my tent to keep the MS0006 18" above the top, with the Candy Kush getting chopped though I have changed the setup of my tent slightly though.

Now for tyhe rough part. She was watered on the 23rd with a low dose of veg nutes right before I was leaving for a little bit for the holidays. I got back yesterday afternoon and she was BONE DRY! :crap: A lot of branches had sagged way down and couldn't support their own weight. I watered immediately and because I can't handle her getting any taller I also made the switch to using bloom nutes (I'm not sure, but I might have picked a poor time to make this switch). The drying out seems to have have enflamed some sort of deficiency though, you will see what I mean in the pics.

Any thoughts on what this is or how to correct? Could it have been the pH spike from the promix drying out a ton? or just a product of the under-watering incident?




One final pic, here is the new setup for my tent. I angled the MS0006 to try and increase light exposure but I'm not sure if this will really make a difference. Also, I added a fan at the bottom to blow directly into the cardboard box and increase the air flow.

Impressed with the BA! I dunno but reckon its just sulkin from lack of water and will recover nicely! Shes deffo gonna be a monster! Nice growin pal!:drool:
