Alright, lets get growing! I have decided on a very good pain strain with high CBD

Dinafem Blue Cheese Auto

Media:
  • 3 gallon eq. AirPot
  • 30% Coir which was hydrated with CalMag and Silica
  • 70% Dutch Treat Soil
Mix was inoculated with Soil Life and Mosquito Dunks in de-chlorinated water
Also primed with Soil Life just before transplanting.

Light
  • 310w MCOBS (5x100w MCOBS each driven at 60W ) switchable from 1, 4, or all 5 lights.
Nutes will be:
  • GH FloraNova lineup
  • CalMag
  • Silica
  • More Soil-Life and Dunks
  • Occasional Shot of Overgrow when needed
  • Terpinator and Molasses towards the end.
On the suggestion of @Dinafem-Mark I will be applying heavy LST

...and I might even try my first ever ScrOG and I may need some help and feedback there.

my fav from Dinafem
good luck

:thanks:Yeah, I get some every time it's around. It is one of the best I've ever had for pain, and pretty good at chilling anxiety too.

A bonus for me is that I hear every nuance of music or birdsong, whatever.

Here is a document of the first week. I like playing around in one-note so sometimes you'll see summaries like this.

March 3 to 9 Blue Cheese.png

I have to say I am loving the Soil Life. I actually saw the very tip of a root before she popped her head above ground and the other ones formed so quickly too.

This girl is going to "be the best her she can be", (if that makes sense) and hopefully I will help her along.

A little out of order, but here's the log from sowing:

Mar 1: Sowed using modem method. Soaked Rapid Rooter in mild Rapid Start.

Mar 4: DAY 1 above ground.

Mar 5: green is showing but not open yet.

Mar 9: The Soil Life fungus runoff really works. Lots of Roots!
Soil mix was still very wet. Dried it best I could with a blow drier. After a long time, it was still moist but I was able to fluff it up. I dusted the hole with Soil Life powder, then planted her. She then got a dribble of the soil-life runoff.

The domestic LED bulb was taken away and she was put under maximum height COB light 1x60W

And today, March 11: (colour is not accurate, she is a darker green)

I lowered the COB a little, it is at around 36 inches. We'll see tomorrow if she likes it.

My tent is only 24x24 inches, and I have wanted to try ScrOG. Reaching and viewing the the back is troublesome unless I can turn the plant. A square frame that would rotate inside of a 24" square would be approx 18 inches which is only double the width of the pot. So a circular shape is where it's at.

I have been searching for a 20" to 22" hoop for months. Hula are too wide and tomato cages are only 18".

Finally I found an adjustable cage that can go up to 24" wide. I will set it up around 20-22 inches for leeway and airflow

The legs are way too long so I am going to have to borrow some bolt cutters and figure a way to attach the thing to the wheeled iron plant stand that I use.

I also got some net at the same place, like cotton fishnet, but I think it is too flimsy.

12 days in and showing some nice early growth

A lot if growers are now using COB lighting and thus type of lighting intrigues me so I'll most definitely be along for the ride and watching with interest my friend as this is the type of lighting I'll be using in my next grow area

Your going to love our blue cheese she's a firm favourite around the office and with me being from the UK like the cheese strain I love it!

This should be a fun on to watch and thank you for documenting your Dinafem adventure on the AFN platform

All the best

Mark. .

Growing nicely, about 2 1/2 inches tall now. Yesterday she got about 200ml water with fungus and just a drop of food.

I made a 20" diameter round scrog structure that can attach to an air-pot. All the trellis nets I could find are 5-6" mesh which I think is too wide for auto. I had found some fishnet that was about 1 1/2" but thought the line was too fine. I finally settled on 1"chicken-wire.
