New Grower Blue Mystic First Grow

I like the CD idea; much better than my using books. CDs don't stay wrinkled after they dry!

Big sis is not happy. Can anyone help?

Had a few busy days packing for the move, Curly. Please excuse slow reply. Looks like you've got her at max nutes already - the perfect amount of tip burn on the leaves.

You'll need to be gentle training her at this point; go with the good advice you've been given.

I was out at our house yesterday & defoliated a bit & severely prostrated & tied down 3 female Early Hazes, finger-training the lateral shoots to grow straight up to the sun. They're about 12" tall and just hitting full bloom, which is late to start training, but I needed some length on those lower branches to work out how I wanted them. I use a clove hitch knot, so just one yank & the cotton tie can be adjusted. This is my first attempt at anything more than LST on autos, so hoping for good results.

Isn't it fun learning the arts of bondage?

Your girl is getting ready to fatten up. The one thing you should buy if you could is Patience. Let her do what Nature has programmed her to do. You're Ma Nature's apprentice & you've provided all the goodies, so just let her grow out & yes, you will have done it. You CAN do it!

And every grow, you'll keep getting better & better. :D

So how is big sis doing this morning? I'm eager to see her. Have a good day CG420!

She doesn't look good at all :( Her fan leaves are turning yellow. They are dying. The buds are starting to get sticky. I can see trichomes with the jewelers loup. I'm not sure if she's going to finish fast because I maybe gave her bloom type food too soon or what. I know the insect frass claims plants can be ready to harvest upto two weeks early. I did use about 1/2 a does 1ml of that full on last feeding and mfg recommends using 1/2 strength food so maybe I accidentally over feed her. Im not really sure...I have another sprout about a week old. I'd really like to figure out what to do different so she turns out better. I need some help.

Thanks Vas Man,appreciate that bro.

sooo lemme ask you this..your not PH'ing any water right?..it's from the tap, rain water or whatever,n thats awesome.but next round if you can drop saaay 50-75 bucks you'll do faaarrrr better, promise ya that.lol

well to say any single product or thing is a maassively hard question to answer really.I could say a 15 dollar water PH pen,a soil accurste 8 soil PH probe, two simple products for a rounded simple tea..but if you have any loose soil left I would take a cpl TBspoons of so of this product if you wanna stay with granular stuff to mix with your tomato tone.the pink bag,but the other stuffs are very good and cheap too.the great white and/or any of the the arent super cheap but with the other products they'll serve you excessively well imo.does me anywho..lol

the bio VAM and GW would be my recommendations but any of the three would work.and work well if you mix your soil next time on top of teas.very easy and not to expensive and VERY effective when done with pre blended soil(s).

but if you got loose soil left Id take a few large double handfulls and moisten it and toss in 2 TBspoons of the organicare stuff and then 1 TBS of your tone and a small few teaspoons of that lime to be safe, especially if your not PH'ing anything and with a simple tea for the initial feeding and then let that soil stay and soak up the granules and then top coat with that and water in with some molasses and epsom salts.boom! or icky sticky icky er sumthin like it.sswut Id do anywho. prolly set you back if you were to get the 5-1-1.the lime and the pink bag for prolly.....40 bucks, maybe 45 or so.shouldnt be much more than that or look elsewhere cua roughly 40 bucks is what i paid for them in total. oh and for good measure you could add also a cpl teaspoons of frass if youd like too.not necessary but if ya like adding n mixing it'll be fine.just use a small wee touch less top coating is all. a lot of N.but if you opt out of using the frass, imo you could fill the top of the pot toal assuming its just a bit down.but anywho, freshly baked n all that rambling.hope that helps out some and straightens some things out.kewl?! lol L8r

Hey Eyes,

I can get everything locally accept the organicare, which I could get online. So if I get these supplies how and when should I use them? I need a schedule or recipe so to speak. Also if I buy a Ph tester should I get water or soil. As you can see big sis looks awful.

what and how did you feed her again since last time we talked if i may ask

I gave big sis some food and water yesterday. I top dressed with 1-1/2 tsp tomato tone (half the recommended amt), and 1/4 tsp epsom salt. Watered it in with some molasses water and a bit of full on.
Here are some new pics. How do her bud sites look for her age? She's five weeks old today.

Fed her on 11/11/15 details on page 6.

well imo Id get a 10-15 dollar water PH tester.digital.worked for me so as to know the baseline.since i didnt wanna be putting 5.0 all the time in there.lol for example.info in key here within organics.with anything really to be honest. but an accurate 8 would be good too..problem is though with soil meters ppl get stuck on the numbers n that makes for stiff growers.I dont own an Accurate 8 and i can honestly say I cant remember the last time i used my PH meters at all. but for new growers its vital to gain that knowledge so you have a more soild base line and those two meter are worth it.

and imo if you were to do a recipe thats easy pezy imo. to or three simple organic foods, and some lime and a few teas.BOOM! piece of cake.Id personally get(assuming you want to stay granule) the organicare grow, and bloom.easy to tailor to your specific needs and has lots of stuff over most other brands. Id get the fish, the two organicare stuffs, some castings, some garden lime and the PH testers, kelp liquid and a solid wettable powder(ie:great white ,BioAG VAM, and so on)..

as for your troubles her i see a multitude of issues.not bad but a few compounded looks funky.LOL! Im almost positive your PH is slightly off. too much N in the soil and top dress pushin a mellow burn.light cal mag setting slowly and not enough balanced bloom foods imo. if it were me? i would get the fishy stuff..kelp..molasses,castings and a quality wettable powder, epsom n maybe a small teaspoon of the organicare and brew a tea.and then add your cal mag (salt and lil extra molasses on top of what you brewed in the tea) stuff just before feeding and mix well and that would do you fine.mellow enough to not play with PH much especially if your PH is off some.so it shouldnt effect it much ,short of feeding it a more bloom style nute/tea feed. and for a simple tea's you can get alaskan bloom and the 5-1-1 so suuuper easy n very simple and awfully cheap teas can be done this way.

then I'd sprinkle ohhh say 1.5 teaspoons evenly on the outter ring of your pot and cover it with a lil bit of your plain soil.then moisten it for several days then mix it up.then keep it moist and imo you should see decently decent improvement(s) in just a handful of days.thats what I'd do.

tea and easy sprinkles n soil covering and keep it moist. i can give you a small list of things to buy.not very expensive..well the accurate 8 is but ALL the other materials are prolly an average of 10 bucks to 12 bucks a pieces or so,. pretty easy to get online, and some local if ya look.that help?
