New Grower Blue Mystic First Grow

Top dressed her with 2-3 tbsp of EWC last watering. She's 14-1/2" tall tonight and I'm starting to worry about vertical space. If you have any ideas PLEASE let me know. I'm going to raise the lights which might yeild another 4-5 inches, but the stalk is fairly thick so I don't think I can bend her too much. Does anyone know if she's going to bush out more? I think I see some single leaves forming in the bud sites. I think she's looking pretty good. What do you think?

Ooh going nicely, yes looks like you're running out of height especially when it's about to do it's serious growing next 2 weeks, so if you are gonna bend it, sooner rather than later, but hey I'm an outdoor dude so better to see what the indoor guys say
:baked:

if your PH is decent an evenly rounded veg/flower tea or similar simple soup feed would do really nicely right now from the looks of it.ASSUMING lol the PH is good.if ya know your soils PH would help, since it does have some light discoloration on it.nothing heavy yet but the PH is either evenly off or your lacking food and im mnot certain a small topping of ewc is gonna cut it imo.got any stronger soil blended laying around or similar?got tea stuffs?

I was gonna say ya might wanna add some lights lower too.looks kinda dark.

Hi Eyes! She's due for another feeding at the next watering. I'm going to top dress with some tomato tone.Question is should I go full strength or less? My camera takes crappie pictures so the color might look worse than it is in real life. I was thinking about adding some more lights. Was asking earlier about changing the lighting arrangement.

Anyways, I was reading this page about teas. Though you might be interested. Peace.

Looking very nice, Curlygirl! My Blue Mystics always had red leaf petioles as well, sometimes into the veins, but came out OK. I'm so behind, I didn't know it was an auto now... Duh!

I would move some light down to the lower branches. If you keep them trained, you should see some nice buds there as well. Don't be afraid to bend the top, but go gently. I like your tie material!

Your instincts are on-target, girl. Just go with what you know & keep on learning! It's not called a weed for nothing. :D

Id personally use an already blended soil.since if i understand it right your wantig to use the tomato tone which is a simple granular type you'll turn into the top of the pot.but as i mentioned earlier you might want to get a 1/2 gallon or gallon of soil ,throw a cpl TBS into it and let it blend into the soil maintaining simple and light moisture, then brew your tea for your current feed and in another week top coat with some of that soil and a simple cal mag watering in of it and Id bet that'd do you really nicely Id think. but if your going to just use the tom tone Id use half strength.i lil less then add a slight bit more if its ok or better yet if it need more make a tea.simple.imo thats your best approach.

again assuming PH isnt an issue. good luckk n happy growing

Hi Eyes, I'm a little confused...I have her in organic soil which I amended with insect frass and a vermicompost/biochar blend. Isn't she already in a simple blended soil? I've been alternating between EWC/USM and frass teas on most of her waterings. I just top dressed the EWC last time because she needed a drink and I didn't have any tea ready so that was the solution I came up with.

Also, what would be the benefit of blending the tomato tone with damp soil and using that to top feed vs topping with tomato tone and watering it in with say a little molasses water? I know tomato tone already contains cal and I think some mag. If tomato tone doesn't have enough, then can you help give me an idea of what the target amount would be? I've been very careful to be light handed with her feedings because I don't want to hurt her. Can you please help me better understand the reasons behind your suggestions so I can learn? Peace. :peace:

Hi Nan, Do you have any suggestions on how to train? I've been watch for branches to get long enough to tie them in such a way as to help expose the light. I've also been doing some leaf tucking. What other things could I try?

yeah it is a simply blended soil.do you have any of that?you could try using that but thats a milder soil, thats why i said to grab a gallon of whatever and boost it with that tomato tone for flower right n blooms?so you'll want a larger or heavier feeding topping coat of soil..see what I mean?

well youve done juust fine.you did perfect actually assuming the PH is on,and since you went lighrt whcih newer grower should and NEED to do and your fuckin spot on (Ph n all that) and its now hungry as its telling you from the light coloring in your leaves and less terpene smells, essential oils wont mature well n all sorts of things will occur (still being good smoke though( but she just need food.l

a top coating gives a place for a few roots to take stuff up and develop if the roots a re all bound up.a good tea rounds out the feeding characteristics of the root zones.one type is fine as you see in your plant but more is typically better.variation(not over kill, simplicity works very well) is key in most soils.especially if your moving toward really really good smoke. also to pre blended soil/topping/top coat let it be instantly available to your plant since right now the lesser treated soil isnt strong aenough to really do great.imo it'll do fine if you want to choose that path, but atleast a TBS or so then let it work for a few days then top your plant. and a cpl teaspoons of molasses or honey es and 1 teaspoon or so of epsom salts .OR a decent organic friendly cal mag supplement which is always recommended.i know your stuff has cal n other things in it but its typically not enough for a full grow.and again light handed is the way to go.just cua its not showing cal mag signs a lot,its still a great idea to round a feeding for flower especially when you'll see it completely change your plant.but thats exactly what I'd do if i had those things only.

ok hands are killing me now..hope you got that and im not too high lol
