Man its been years since I grew anything so might as well just call myself a noob.

Yesterday was 1st day above ground for both seeds I planted. Started slow with only two plants.

Promix soil generic 4 gallon pots.

trio for nutes.

400w MH and 400W HPS for flowering.

I have my light 10 inches from seedlings. They seem to be stretching is that normal?

Can you pop a picture up of your seedling?
10 inches sounds mighty close to a seedling for a 400w MH, but maybe you have a cool tube? or have you done the back of the hand test to see if it's a reasonable temperature?

My 250w HPS only gets 10 inches in full flower (and i even burned a little bit of the tops that close)

Sorry should have stated that they are under a few 6500k cfl right now. When they get a little bigger I will turn on the mh/hps. I just had noticed that the stems are really tall. I even covered them up last night with more dirt. There not huge but they are a few inches long.

I'd move them closer, if you can get a fan blowing across them i'm move them to 5 inches and keep an eye out for curling up leaf tips (the jageddy bits on the edge) (heat stress)

Well I have the new hps/mh up. Plants will make the new transition in the am.
