whoa... what a stinger! i wonder how it works out after customs duty and shipping?
that $100 is about £65.... i can imagine that getting swallowed up pretty quick with international shipping and tax.

I recently purchased a tent 3x1.7x5 and I'd like to go LED. I have my eye on the backstar 240w.
How many plants do you think I could grow with this setup?
Does pot size matter? I was thinking 2 or 3 three gallon plants or 5 or 6 1.5 gallon pots...

Depends on your strain your growing, but your tent size I would go up to 6 plants in 10" pots (if your doing small to medium size autos)
Or if larger autos than 2-4 plants.

Bigger pots do mean bigger plants, bigger yield is also on how well you grow them, you can have a huge pot but if not grown correctly you won't yield much.

You can get 2 or 3 nice plants under one. The blackstar doesnt have the light footprint to really do to well outside of about a 2 foot range in width and still have decent penetration.

Bigger pots dont always make bigger plants but its always to go with bigger than smaller until you get a few grows under you. What kinda of plants are you thinking?

I've running two of the Blackstar 240s in a 3' x 4' area. I'm seeing that they cover about a 2' x 2.5' area pretty well, so for your size tent, two would probably be needed for full coverage. Using 3 gallon pots you can probably grow 3 plants under one and 6 under two.

That's what I'm getting.
240watt flowering model.
The guys will chime in on this, I'm a new grower so don't count om my advice but you're in the right place.
