horticulturesource.com got steathgrow sg-602's for 9 bills and ship via usps on the cheap for anyone wantin a good deal, starts on the 14th this month. just thought id give a heads up to anyone serious about growin with led. seen people pull upwards of 1.7lb per light after a few runs.

welcome to AFN parkerl!

Seems like LED's are coming into their own.
well they do fantastic with autos because of they now lack the necessity to penetrate canopy's. photos are a beast under led if you have enough watts but i just love the set and forget method of led and autos. 20/4 schedule and i will not change a thing about it.

I know most people place seedlings under cfl's or t5 fixtures for the first week or so, then move them under LED's once the plants get a bit larger. Has anyone ever tried to use only LED's for the entirety of the grow? I want to know how seedlings would do under my 240w Blackstar panel. I have some seeds germing now run a test, just wondering if anyone else has tried.

Well after talking w/ Muddy and working a theory he had i have to report good news bout my 290w from glh. turns out to be a deficiency and a foliar spray of CaMag+ at a ph of 5.8 cured the problem in 24hrs. i now have a hindu kush, brainstrom haze & exodus cheeze flowering quite nicely under it & all are photo's i've lst.
have a look... http://www.autoflower.org/f5/jock-horror-hindu-kush-1831-5.html

I've grown plants right from the start under my LED and they have done very well. A while back I did a comparison, betting under my LED and under my MH/CFLs veg lights. The LEDs were actually a little bigger and bushier under the LED.

I'm so glad that worked out for you as I know how discouraged you were with your light. What mixture of cal/mag to water did you use? I'm also seeing early cal/mag deficiencies under my GLH 180, although not to the point where the leaves are bleached. My Blackskulls are at 26 days and showing early signs. Gonna give em a shot of cal/mag next feeding.

BTW, those buds look so sexy with the pinkish hue from the LED.

that pinkish hue isn't from the lite, that pic was taken out side the room in sunlite. thanx tho it is a beautiful plant.

i mixxed a whole gal of H2o w/ a tbsp of CaMag+ as my brand is called. man it did the job, i was so ready to thro that led away...$700 bucks is alot to shell out man. i will go w/ BS from now on but im very torn between high wattage hid systems and led...waiting to see how they fill the bud in in compairison to a 600w hid, that will be what i need to make a final decision. hey thanx agian man..!

Thanks for the quick reply Muddy. Im glad you have had good results with seedlings under LED's, this will save me alot of hassle with supplemental cfl's.

Wow, knowing they weren't under the LED makes them that much better looking. Verrry nice.

I think you'll be happy with the way the buds fill in. Mine are always big and rock hard, my plants that is. :D

I'm using a 240w of this one

and would never go back to anything else other than LED, but there is an irritating thing on this panel which is the fact that the red spectrum shines from the centre of the panel which effectively makes the plants constantly lean towards the centre of the tent; are LEDs around this wattage usually setup like this?

Tent size is 2m height, 90cm long & 50cm deep with diamond shape reflective mylar. A cheap & cheerfully converted, flatpack wardrobe...
