Problem: large brown spots appearing on middle/newish growth. Burnt/deficient tips. Some yellowing as well.

Medium/grow method: FFOF on bottom 2/3 and FFHF on top 1/3. 20% perlite throughout.

Feed: and supplements used:
No grow, bloom or cal mag nutrients used until day 29

Stout MSA silica (5ml/gal every watering, started week 2 and stopped a couple weeks ago)

Earth Juice Seablast Grow 17-8-17(haven't used in a couple weeks now, used lightly from week 4 to week 6. I wouldn't be able to give you exact times)

Earth Juice Bloom 0-3-2 (started using 3ish weeks ago. Been feeding 5ml/gal once a week, 300ish ppm. Just fed 10ml/gal yesterday cause I thought possible phosphorus deficiency, 500ish ppm)

Earth Juice Assist a wetting agent (1ml/gal every other watering. The first application I used was 4ml/gal) was under watering for first month, soil became hydrophobic.

Earth Juice Cal N Mag 3-0-0 (5ml/gal used once a week sometimes twice a week) I'm now a little worried to use this because of the nitrogen in it.

Alaska PH down and up 0-0-47 (use down when using only water, use up when adding nutes, especially bloom)

Note: Amounts of EJ nutes have always been on the lighter side. Never fed heavy amounts of nutes. (That's why I'm leaning more towards a deficiency vs toxicity)

water source: tap that's been left out for at least 24 hours (80-90ppm) have always pH'd water to 6.3 - 6.5. At this point I water almost a Gal each every other day.

Strain/age: Larger plant with more brown spots is the Amnesia Haze Auto by ILGM, smaller girl is the Northern Lights Auto by ILGM. Both are starting their 8th week from germ. A week ago I super cropped the Amnesia Haze because she was growing to close to the light. But some life stuff came up and I wasn't able to buy more clothes pins to add weight (suggestion from a very respectful grower) so she grew right back up and is like 6in from light...or too close to the light.

light used:
Mars Hydro TS 1000. 100% power.

Climate:
Daytime temps range from 77-82. Nighttime from 72-77. Using a dehumidifier in my lung room (closet) so my RH stays between 45-55% throughout the day. One fan circulating air from floor and one just below the light. Also have 205cfm MH exhaust fan with carbon filter attached. All fans run 24/7.

Additional info
: They are about 3ish weeks into flowering. The Amnesia Haze is a bit behind the Northern lights in bud and trichome development. I've only tested run off ppm once when adding grow nutes like 3 weeks ago and both came out 500-600ppm. I suck at taking pictures so please let me know if you need better ones. From what I've read and how little I've fed these girls in leaning towards possible phosphorus and cal mag deficiency. The brown tips confuse me. I thought nute burn at first, but like I said, I've fed these girls light nutes like once a week. ALSO I stuck my pH probe in the soil this morning and took pic of it after leaving it there for 15 minutes. I think my soil pH is ok. But I can't tell if it's 7.0 or 6.5

Your plant may be deficient in calcium.
Thank you for the response. Do you think a cal mag 3-0-0 is too much? Should I use just calcium?

Welp, alls I have is EJ Cal N Mag. So they got 10ml/gal of that this morning with some bloom nutes as well. Hoping that will help. Thanks again for chiming in :thanks:

How is it going?

I would suggest no nutes until you plants show signs that the soil is running out, or if you’re testing the medium and seeing ec dropping very low. after that I would use ~700ppm/~1.3 ec, of one general purpose nute known to be good for cannabis. Two bottles max, no idea what the second bottle would be though.

also I would suggest mixing the FFOF and FFHF together, that way if you want/need to see what is going on, it’s easier.

Last or first maybe, before starting any plants, I would suggest making sure the soil is at perfect ph. Also not to high ec/ppm.

adding only this or that because you have a problem is not great unless you are positive what the problem is imo. Good chance to throw off nute balance.

hope it’s going well for you.

Thank you for the advice, I should have had a better plan going in. But I think I will do thing differently next time. More controlled and scheduled. Maybe a Coco grow.
I've been adding bloom 0-3-2 and Cal N Mag 3-0-0.
She's still really light in color but the brown spotting has slowed down. I'll check the ppm on my next watering. What general purpose nutes do you suggest? I know the picture is hard to see. This was yesterday.

I also watered yesterday, 6.0 pH going in. 6.6 pH coming out

What general purpose nutes do you suggest?

I only have experience with Dyna-Gro's 'Foliage Pro' and 'Grow' both did great for me, Foliage Pro is better for weed. Sometimes I used their silica along side, but I don't think its necessary or even super beneficial, I wouldn't suggest it really.

Anything close to 2-1-2 NPK ratio, that has all the micros as well. There are a bunch or even more.

If you find something you like, feel free to post it here and ask.

You have this, seems like it should be good (near perfect), by itself, Earth Juice Seablast Grow 17-8-17. Kind of a different mix of ingredients. Says it has everything though and good for hydro (?). Could you share a picture of any labeling on the bag? Impossible to see it on amazon

You think the grow would be good to add now?
