Bud rot and how to deal with it.

I would use your nose as well and see if she smells moldy. Also she might not need as much water after removing the fan leaves.

So would strong ventilation help mitigate the chances to develop rot? Meaning fans blowing, and strong exhaust pulling out

Yes ventilation is key as well as humidity control. In most cases mediums like soil hold the most promise to bud rot. If your growing in a tent you will have much better control than outside. You dont want any spores landing on your plants. They can stay dormant for along time waiting for the right conditions.
