Sorry, don’t smoke anymore.
Hello and Welcome to BWM’s latest attempt at killing some seedstockers genetics. If you’ve come to see nice big pots, healthy plants, exotic nutrients and expensive grow equipment then your probably in the wrong thread.
However, If the thought of watching a nutter torture a plant to within an inch of it’s life with small pots, little room, cheap equipment, possible abuse, ill treatment and looming deadlines appeals then stick around.
I wasn’t lying when I said I would product TEST. :haha:

So, my preferred method of popping beans is the paper towel method. If you don’t know what that is you’ve probably been living in a cave on the moon but for those new to this here’s how it’s done.....

1) Take a damp piece of paper towel and lay it flat
2) Put a seed/seeds in the middle and fold the towel over them
3) Place the seed/paper towel into a plastic bag. (I use sandwich bags)
4) Place the baggy of germination goodness somewhere warm
5) Wait a day then carefully check

This is what’s been done here with a single, lone bean and after 24hrs we have a pretty good root........(no germ issues here)

Ok, we’ll call this (day 2) and already the abuse has begun. I accidentally grabbed the taproot when putting her into her home made pot.....I’m sure she might be fine.....might be.
The container is a 1 gallon water bottle with the top removed, holes for breathing and drainage. It’s nice and long so the tap root will be pleased if it recovers from being handled by moi. I’ll be trying my best to severely restrict this plant as I’ve seen just how big these can get and how looooong they can grow. I don’t want to be struggling with height for starters and I’m growing for meds but thought I’d treat myself to a bit of old skool smoke for the weekends. And Why not?

Yeah, I have very good results with this method and sometimes I can get a 1cm taproot in 16-20hours which is just mental. If only they’d grow that fast all the time!

(Mini update) Soooooo, what do we have here then?
