I don't understand the envelopes:help:

I click on New posts and get the list of threads.

Almost none of them were green or red before.

Now all the threads show up green and red and I just can't figure why ones are green or red or highlighted...

Help a slow stoner out here :peace:

I'm gonna stab a guess that it relates to how many views a thread has received and/or replies

Forums like MyBB have a legend at the bottom explaining the icons. I suspect it has something to do with unread, unread you participated in, unread "hot" topic (certain amount of activity in an amount of time).

I haven't seen the green envelope except at the top-level list of sub-forums. I think it looks good. Fits the overall theme. But, I agree that it's one more color (compared to the blue/gray) which leads us to wonder "what does it signify?"

I think the envelopes at the sub-forum level should be changed so they fit the green theme. Like a gradient from red to green (for the "on fire" hot topic type of envelope). I could do that if whoever works on the site needs it done.

I hadn't even considered what topics were active? hmmm I wonder if everyones are the same or if each persons is different.

I think they are going to be the same and some will be different. Somone mentioned unread and read threads I also think it tracks which threads you replied. I think inactive and closed threads are in there to. I'm guessing like the rest can't wait to get a key on what this all means.

I think it's something to do with if you have viewed the post and if it's been updated since you last read it,there was an explanation at the bottom of the home page before the site was updated.

All different shades of blue, red and green. some with a open envelope

this thread has a blue with a closed envelope :fire:
