I was thinking of trying to use a large (and continuing) amount of L-tryptophan to stop the signal for flowering. Has anyone tried this?
I am honestly just wondering if it can be done. I have no real reason for wanting to attempt it besides my own curiosity.

I suppose it could be used to preserve mother autos....

you can definatly stall an auto , but you risk stunting it

dunno bout your experiment , but if you do it , make sure you make a thread and keep us updated as it goes on

peace

I will post a thread if I experiment with it. I was just hoping someone else already has because I have a lot going on. I'm on an organic kick and just ordered a ton of stuff. Even getting some triacontanol because I use snow storm ultra and am not buying any more non organic chemical nutrients.

But I guess a good question is, is an autos life span determined by a length of time (60 - 120 days)

or will it live until after it has flowered no matter how long it takes to begin flowering? (30 - 60 day veg then flower)

I thought with mothers you flower them then put them back into veg mode, am I wrong please tell me if so I have to have a talk with one of my buddies, but I don't see it working, I feel if u stop a auto from flowering there will be no way to get it to flower when u want to, because if geneticly it'll flower under any type of light schedule and if you stop that there will be no way for it to know to flower, yea you can change the light to 12 hours but I believe it won't do anything when it comes to tring to flower if u stop the auto gene.

I always take clone from a vegging mother (or several) then use them to make seeds. I keep doing that for about 6 months then take clones one last time and use the healthiest one to be the new mother. The old mother then gets flowered and smoked sensi

the definition of that is reveging a plant , like evol said a mother is a plant kept in veg and used for taking clones from , the clones are then sent to flower while the mother remains in veg to develop/grow more for the next round of clones to be taken

we dont have the ability to "keep" mother or father autos , only breed them , they are mothers yes , but not mothers we keep around for years n years
