I've heard about them and even looked them up, they are very-very expensive....For me the unit is way too small, I decarb several oz's at once that is why I choose to use the turkey bags, it would take me all day to decarb with such a small unit...I also use MB so the min amount in that is 2 cups, which equals a little over 2oz of flower to 5cups & 5oz+ of flower... at 1/2oz at a time you'll be busy at that all day...unless you only run small amounts....To me for everything involved in making oil time/materials I think it's better run bigger batches...
It's only $180.00 with code. Each run takes 2hr. All you do is put it in and hit button then go do whatever you want. Over the course of a day I can decarb 3-4 oz with very little effort and zero smell. Turkey bags are nice but dont take away smell as well as a lift. Its isn t as big a deal as you think, and well worth the price if smell is an issue. I have had issues with oven consistency and smell, I can run this unit anywhere I can get a cord to. It is very helpful product for folks in non legal states. I dont believe it will be long before less expensive versions come to market.
Only 180$? I don't have extra money like that just laying around as i'm sure many do not...The turkey bags work, I use them all the time(no odor)... I can reuse a single bag several times, so I'm certainly getting my money's worth using the bags... Not to mention I can decarb 5-6oz in a single decarb under an hour and have in the MB and oil made,capsules made,cookie's made before you could finish 5-6oz of decarbing in the smaller unit.
