there is a huge mark up for every electrical/consumer item.think how much more expensive cars would be if they came in a fancy presentation box like a lot of stuff nowadays.i mean a box only has one purpose thats to keep the item within safe.how much cheaper would vapes be if the box was brown ? the box a vape comes in is a throwaway item,but listen to the utubers bang on about presentataion colour pics on the box,feels good in the hand...has a good weight to it....all just marketing sales guff.
a packet of papers at the local shop 30p (30px50packs£15)the shop buys them cheaper than what i can get a box of 50 from ebay £7 you will pay a £ for a lighter but get a box of them and they 25p
its what the person is prepared to pay.
took me 6 months to save up the material for a tincture,pointless me looking for anything thats not in me kitchen allready.
what about the long soak ? 3 months is it to decarb naturally.
an ideal machine for a non smoker,them that want to run small batches of individual strains,say like what they got from a dispencary.....and if they not growing and buying from them kinda places then they must have cash to spare.or like @Mcdee who want consistant results with as little guesswork or swapping pans dishes and having all that stuff to clean up afterwards.
expensive yes,but there are many as expensive a thing that just dont work.

At least it was only a half oz. and it got recycled in the end so all good [emoji1303] now what I’m looking at is edibles. Got a Kief Preston recipe book so cannacoconut is next up!

You enailed it lol! Value is up to the buyer. Yes, I would have liked to pay less but that's the price. If you dont want to spend that much that's cool. But what I cant tell everyone that they work as they say. Zero smell, very discreet, and they decarb. I have had good decarbed bud, but nothing as strong. And as long as you dont over stuff it works everytime. Put in, push 1 button and go do some dabs and start the day. I have to say if you want a decarb with no smell and works optimally especially if in a non legal state/area everytime its priceless! I made the decision to ease back on seed buying and use it for a lift. I have no regret on the purchase will recommend to anyone. I have no affiliation with lift just a very happy customer. If you dont have issue with oven consistency and smell is ok then you may want to put money to better use. But if any are issues this will take care of them. It works as they say.

Nice, always fun to try something new. I recommend a mbm or similar product. Does all the work in 2hrs and very little smell except right by machine. But have to make min of 2 cups so if only doing small batch not the way to go. Make sure you decarb if you want to have fun.

@archie gemmill does the natural decarb work? I have heard if you leave it lo g enough in freezer tincture will decarb on it's own. Not sure if it's True tho.

i think so,no first hand experience with the natural decarb,and im sure it be tricky to work out mg/strenght numbers and such.batch to batch could be way different to i guess.just what i think i remember reading,and that was 3 months in a cool dark place.dosnt have to be in the freezer but if you have the room for it why not

Well, I think most people dont need to decarb 5-6oz at a time. Some may, but most no. I have used Turkey bags there is a slight smell, you may be nose blind. Dont get me wrong they work well, but not 100%. Do you do this every day? That's a lot of bud if you do often. If your using mbm you have to make min of 2cups. Which most use 1-2 oz for butter per 2 cups. That's a lot of butter. I need a morning to get decarb, and another 2hrs in mbm. It's not the process your making it out to be. I dont have extra money either bud, but I save any money I get for xmass and bday and when I have enough I bought it. I cant imagine how much money an oven like your talking about would be. If you dont have money for a lift how you gonna get that. I'm not hatin', just sayin'. Have you ever used a lift? You may say wow this work better than my oven lol. I thought wow that's to much, but after messing up a round or 2 of decarbing it paid for its self. Wish I could let you use it bud, it may still not suit your needs but I think you may change you opinion a bit. Just for shits and giggles, what would be a fair price you would pay?

The oven I'm talking about can be bought on ebay for 250$+ I wouldn't mind spending a little extra on something like that.... it really comes down to keeping the temps accurate to produce a good decarb... I have no doubt in what you say that it does work, I even know of a few people who own one... No I don't make everyday, but when I do make runs I make large runs.. several runs, I make both coco oil & tinctures... when I make my oil, I like to have extra... I can make several hundred capsules and when I start getting low all I need to do is take oil from refridge and I don't have to go through the entire process of making the oil.. Usually I'm able to make a batch of capsules per cup of oil(1ml per cap) I get around 200 or so... Plus I make both sativa & indica oil & capsules...I'll spend little over half a day making two large batches approx 3.5hrs per batch... Tinctures obviously take more time to make, so that is made on different days, since it's pretty much a full day per batch...I also make a sativa & indica batch of that..... I wasn't saying that thing doesn't work, I'm just saying not everyone has that kind of loot to be forking out... I know for sure I do not, I just had major surgery and all my co-pays are coming in now...

for a fair price I think maybe around 80$ish ... even that seems high to me, but does seem more reasonable, imo.. My goal is to shoot for the lab oven, like I said a great decarb comes down to keeping temps correct and a lab oven would do that well... they really are not priced as high as you would think, unless your shooting for a brand new one, but I would be fine with a used one that works just fine..

oh about the odor, it's so minimal that it wasn't worth mentioning, it's not like the whole house will get stunk up or the neighborhood...I'm not nose blind, I just don't think there is enough of an odor to call it an odor, it's so little of a smell...

Well, other than them amount we need to decarb we have a lot in common. I dont do capsules just eat/drink oil lol. Like having both sativa and indica as well. I need stuff small for now so I can hide it. If I had some big lab oven people would ask me all the time what it is hahaha.

Shit, my wife is a bloodhound lol. She smell shit that ain't even there. Plus anyone who comes in cause my oven is 12ft from front door lol. Cant have any upstairs for now at least.
