New Grower Check Up For My Girls

Hey guys. I just wanted some second thoughts on my girls. These are 17 days fast and vast. Had algae probs but think its fixed. They are in a rdwc with topfeed. Using led 400 watt (300 actual draw I think) from topled. Tap water is 7.5 ph and around 100 ppm. Using vinegar to drop it. Started with a ph of 5.9 and a ppm of 450 couple days ago when I cleaned rez. Ph is fluctuating wildly, been up 6-8. Water temp at 75. Im not confident in meter, going to get test strips monday to double check. They look ok to u guys or they kinda small? The discolored one looks great compared to what it used to look like. They look severely stunted, about as small as mine did when they were 2 weeks old. I'm not sure what might have caused it for you but for me it was many reasons:
-I started them in big 3 gallon pots which slows them down but is in fact recommended.
-I probably overwatered them.
-My lighting was insufficient for the first 2-3 weeks.
-My temperature was about 70 degrees Fahrenheit for the first two weeks which isn't the most optimal temperature. When I took them out at approx. two weeks they suffered really cold nights (~40).
-I had my oscillating fan way too close and blowing way too strongly. The girls swayed like crazy.

I'm still really hopeful about mine. You should be too, as long as they look as healthy as they do now. All the best to you!

Raised my light to 4ft above plants. Light may have been to close? Gonna see if they atretch any and if so gonna drop it till they quit stretching. Was wanting like 2 ozs off each plant now im worried lol. Would love some other comments. Debateing if I should start more seeds lol.

My chemdogs were that big at one week. I can't tell from the pics, are the leaves light green? A light or heat issue would cause burns and wilting. You look like you have a lockout or something. I did that with a green crack plant and a special kush

No light green. No wilting. Im haveing ph issues. Just checied it and its 8 again wtf. Dropped it back down.

Hey naterots. Sorry to see your having problems. I'm very new here myself but I have a feeling your pH problems could be due to you using vinegar as your pH down. When I first started I did a fair amount of research on different pH agents before deciding what to use. From what I've read vinegar is ok for decreasing pH but is not good at stabilising it. In fact it can drift within a few hours. This probably explains why when you checked it this evening it had gone from 5.9 to 8! If it were me I'd consider switching what you use to pH down. As I say I'm very new myself but i definitely think this would be a good option. Cat

I believe it may be my vinegar as well. Ive been researching and im finding folks are gettig slime in their dwc when useing vinegar. Im getting brown algea or so I thought in there. I thing something is alive in the vinegar and its eating my nutes and messing up my ph. I fixed the light getting in but im starting to wonder if its not algae. Anywho ditching the vinegar. I dunno why ph is spikeing to 8 though. I wouodnt figure it could go higher than my base water, and the nutes drop the ph anywho. Think it drops to like 6.7 or something when I added nutes.

Did the 8 step recovery off the sticky here yesterday. Didnt do it soon enough, some plants turned from a browninsh to a light green. Gonna quit posting on this thread, putting new pics in my journal. Using real ph down now. Plants seem to be comeing back, hopeing they show some good growth next few days.
