First, let me thank this community for helping make this place what it is. If anyone's lurking, don't look any further. This is the best site.

Today, I've got my first grow behind me, but the results weren't spectacular. Mistakes were made. In any case, it's very nice to meet you all, and many thanks for all your help because these threads are amazing and I'm stoned right now!

Let's start grow #2!

Overview

Seeds: Cherry Bomb Auto. Seeds come from gorillaseeds. They're fast to ship, and they take bitcoin, which is really the main reason why I use this service, but this is twice I've had to remind them to actually send me the seeds. It's quite frustrating. If anyone can recommend a better shop, let me know!

Equipment: Equipment is the same for both. Cash Crop from Dealzer. Newest box has a c02 enhancement though. I opted to buy before build. I think this was the main factor behind my successful first grow. The biggest problem was overnuting, which was definitely my error. I've tried in the past, with homemade systems, and bagseed, but I never built them right and wound up getting stem rot most of the time.

She seems to be going pretty fast! Her head has popped out already.

Yup, didn't get much, but what I did, smells divine. Really does smell like cherries.

I'd like to add that apart from being top-shelf shit, cherry bomb autos are super hardy and beginner friendly. I basically burnt up all her buds with nutes, but she stood tall and strong, and delivered!

Her first real leaves are in! Her taproot is also about an index-fingers length long and in the reservoir. I grabbed a rooter plug, and started pinching off pieces in order to cover light from leaking in. Is this a good idea, or is the amount of light passing through negligible?

Since her first real leaves are here, I added a co2 generator!

Current stats are 0.3 EC/5.7 PH. I had to do a little tweaking with PH up/down a couple minutes ago, actually.

I messed up the dates with this chick actually. She went up on Christmas day. So her last picture was actually day 2 from seed. I updated the journal to reflect that.

I think I placed her wrong, and she's trying to right herself up. I'm covering the little hole with a piece of root started, a light piece just large enough to cover the hole. Should I keep that or remove it? Her EC is currently at 0.3 as well, haven't balanced the PH yet.

Ah, night for these girls is everyday between 2am and 6am, so it's under 20/4, give or take a few minutes.

Day 6 from seed

She hasn't shed her seed hull completely yet, so her stem is a little bent. I also think she's stretching a little bit, though I'm not sure if that's true, since there's so much reflective material. I decided to lower the lights anyway.

On the other hand, the girl I put upside down is starting to peek out! She's about to finish the u-turn.

This box does not have a hanging-light fixture, instead it's fixed to the top. It also doesn't have hooks for co2 generators. I'm trying to figure out how to outfit the box with one, was thinking maybe I can find something at Home Depot.

At the same time, I kind of just want to leave it like this to keep the complexity down. I'm already running out of the last batch :(.
