It uses only 1 cree cob the rest is epistar/bridgelux 3w diodes. And the actual power is 215w. I dont think this could replace 600w hps

It has 2 cree cobs and 5w leds actuall draw is 365w you were looking at the 300 not the 400 so yes it will compare to a 600w hps

i think that solo400 would be just fine for my 1x1x2m tent, its that or two hans panels, but this option is like 100$ cheaper..and money is issue. i dont know did you see their diamond series, it looks like advance platinum rip off,or maybe they assambe for platinum and decided to go with their ovn brand??

and @mjau who ever mentioned 600w hps?? i think geyapex solo 400 , is copy of platinum p4 led, same concept but different leds..

My Spanish isn't so good but if those lights use Cree cxb 3070s or 3590s at around 50w each and mean well drivers, looks pretty good. Looks like they've got some reasonably priced DIY led components as well.

:pass: I feel like I had a 2 page conversation with you explaining the difference between crap lights and quality lights... you were concerned with the heat of the 48% efficient TGL so I broke down the wattage to direct light and heat "The passive 220w(4x55w) cxb3070 will be486micromoles of light and 388BTU/hr of heat." To compare, a generic ~30% 240w mono panel will be around 340micromoles and 571BTU/hr heat.

Atulip's led guide: Nothing wrong with inefficient mono leds, just don't get scammed by companies claiming to replace hps at half watts or less(impossible), toss a name like "cree" on the page and never list actual chips used(companies may put a single Cree chip just to advertise it), no ppf listed, or electrical efficiency(umol/j) or even total lumen output in some cases (be weary of single point par measurements, this is common to mislead) then they charge the price of a high end fixture..

I'll use the photon 6 as an example.

The first sign that something is up. Cree mentioned, but nothing specific. Next would be they call it a 630w light and list "4 cluster of 21 3 watt leds" it actually has 6 clusters in the photos, but besides that, 6 x 21 = 126x3w = 378w... where did they even get the 630w number? Are they using 5watt chips but they got confused?(126x5w)

This company doesn't even know what they're selling. Another thing to point out here is the wild claims. 240w better than 500w of hps.... maybe without a reflector and an old bulb.... another is the area covered. Even if this were a high quality highly efficient light(and I'm not saying that), 240w would only cover a 3'x4' area for seedlings....

Then the rest of the page is garbage, "quality lenses, quality fans" Next to a picture of a plastic(I'm sorry, I mean "lightweight") made in China fan.

The additional info page is the same garbage. They still don't know if they're 3 watt leds or 5.. now they only claim a 400w hps? Maybe next tab they'll have it right and list it as a 250w equiv.

Nope, but the 3 reviews from April 2015 to now(wonder what happened to all the other reviews?) page tells us the chips they're using are at least 4 years old technology :)

And with a little searching you can usually find the same thing from China. I could arrange for them to use a single Cree chip, paint it black, then resell these light for 5x the price using the same website as the photon 6.

Good day guys, i really need sone advice hope someone can assist, I have just got a deal on some Apollo 10 units, (370w) , i need advice on :
-How big area can one such unit effectively cover(as well or better than a 1000w hps) for flowering @ how far from light to canopy?
I know there is much better units but im specifically asking about the Apollo 10 as I cannot find reviews or solid info on it really anyware? Who even make these units as I do not see them on ApolloHorticulture's site either... I attach a pic of the units so you guys can have an idea of what im on about..thanks in advance

Does it pull 370w at the wall? If so it probably uses 15x5w epi chips per cluster. Expect a watt for watt equivelance to hps so 3 of them to match the output. Height depends on the area covering and the spread it provides. If you can pick up a cheap lux meter on eBay or something($10) use that to get an idea how the light spreads out. The more evenly spread the better, until you start losing too much to the walls/floor. Probably around 18-24" above canopy though.

Here's the Apollo's I don't see a 10 though. The picture you showed is an 8.
