Anybody thinking of doing DIY with cpu coolers, remember they're DC, and don't make the mistake I made and use AC only power supply by mistake!!!

Those crees will be crazy bright, 100W each. Wow, my crees are 36V on same driver and I keep them dimmed on 35W each. Lots of light already, will be nice to follow your grows with these monsters.

Yea I've been speaking to a few of my friends, (who also grow) and they can't wait to see how bright these cobs will be!! Especially for the size of my tent!
I got the dimmable driver but thinking I'll just run them at 1400mA all the time. I'm a bit unsure on how to add dimmer tbh. May do it at a later date.

I'm looking to do a veg light with 36v 5000k on same driver and run 4 cobs not as high. But will need another tent, need to twist the girlfriends arm some more!!!!

If you're attempting to use alibaba, I would maybe look into an Apollo setup. If I'm not mistaken, this is what the old GrowNorthern MS0004 and MS0006 models were made from.

The geyapex "looks" decent to me, but I don't see any info on what LEDs or spectrum is used.
