Hey Muddy,

I know what you mean. You start hearing that "thump-thump thump" and you look to the sky, it ia an eerie feeling. Even though I hide behind a medical reccomendation, I am not always 100% compliant. Luckily in this community, word gets around fast, and we can get some warning.

I would put them all out by the plants that didn't get found. Tidy the homestead so it don't look like nothing abnormal Lay low for about three weeks.

I think if they already flew over, they probabably wont be back there again.

After that period of time, I would say the coast was clear.

I stopped growing outdoors after that. Besides the risk, I was tired of hauling water, fighting spider mites, etc. With the addition of the hydro shed there is no need to take that added risk. Apparently they didn't fly this year. I didn't see/hear them and all my friends I've talked to haven't seen them either. Those choppers cost something like $800 an hour to run and I think there isn't a budget for that on the county level this year.

I live pretty close to a new airport, and the choppers seem to fly directly over my house all the time, my way of thinking is they have just taken off and more concerned with altitude/direction than looking down! Worked for a few years x

Damned choppers. Reminds me of a funny(?) story.

My father in law used to grow massive outdoor plants every year. One summer while he was away at camp, my mother in law was tending the garden. The choppers started buzzing around, one was close enough that she could see the pilots face. She's a rather timid woman, and this really freaked her out. For some reason she decided to take off and hide in the woods behind the house.

Turns out the choppers were looking for a dude with a couple of guns, who had just shot a guy and left him for dead. Buddy was hiding out in the woods behind the house...

She doesn't let him grow anymore.

... That is funny... Right?

I'm comfortable with my size grows that if the police did turn up I'd get a bit above myself and question why they are here! I think only cash croppers have real problems, and lets face it AFN is all about self medicating.
