1/4-3/4 inch is good. I follow a simple rule of Jorge Cervantes. To plant your seed, double the seed width deep.

As far as watering there is no set schedule. But I water my pots lightly before transplant. Mist tops of pots when becoming dry (1-2) days, and depending on the knuckle test ( sticking finger into soil to knuckle) you should feel moisture on the tip of your finger). If not its time to water. During the first week I usually water 50ml to a plant every day day and a half. But that is strictly on based on the moisture of the medium I use.

All mediums will be a little different drying times and when to water. Familiarize yourself with a PH as JM recommends really a must IMO, PPM and a soil moisture meter if you can break the bread. If not use knuckle test when smaller. Once they are bigger or in bigger pots I like to keep an extra pot with just dry soil around. I then pick up the soil only pot and compare it to my pots with plants. Before you know it you will totally realize a weight difference and can judge watering by how heavy the pot is. Hope I helped, like I say there is no definitive on watering this is just my style and :2cents:

Damn JM and Green you guys are fast, by the time I submitted your post was up lol.

now light cycle i dont want to keep them on for 24hrs a day, more like 18/6 right? but then what do i go to

If running 24 hrs a day, once signs of sex are shown or I'm having problems with plant sexing by the time they should. I gradually decrease my light schedule from 24 down to 18/6 over a course of a few days. I drop the hours by 2 every night to two nights till I reach 18/6. Some swap the time right away I prefer gradually reducing.

how long do i keep 18/6? then from then what light cycle do i use

photos bro... hehe... got some good smoke I see? brow.gif

GTchicky... depends on how big you want them before you flower them... but a good rule to remember is that they will stretch 2-3 X more in height after you flower them before they finish. :toke:

so if they are 12" when you start flower, they will be 24-36" when finished..

Lol JM was late and to many hash hits. And as everyone know I am a photo convert, so my mind has been thinking a little onesided toward auto.
