Right I get ya so ideally I want the 1050 and 3 cobs for an eventual 6 cob system? I don't want to have 16 lights in there really if I can do it with 6 but was a good idea

The plan laid out and on my list was the 2 drivers 6 lights the site says about running 8 on 1 driver. Sorry lol.
No, I want the 6 lights 2 drivers but I'm struggling to find parts. Looking like I can only source the 1212 cobs atm in the uk so I need to do some more part searching. I can find a 185h 1400a would that work instead of the 1050 recommended for 3 cobs?
I want to run 2 strips of 3 lights on 2 drivers that I can do one at a time. Eventually I want both strips to replace my hps.

Yea thanks it's all the number that confuse me and not finding the right parts, like can I run the 1212s in place of the 1812 and can I run a 1400 driver instead of the 1050 etc I just can't find the parts on my list. But il stick to my list and see what I can find to suit

Even I'm confused right now.
1212 has 12 strings of 12 leds
1812 has 18 strings of the same 12 leds. Same leds just more of them.
1212 needs 1400ma for 50w= less efficient
1812 needs 1050ma for 50w = more efficient
Figure a way to grow with 1/2 the hps wattage for better results. 6-1812's at 1050ma is a very good light for the space.
