Title says it all friends. Currently looking to upgrade within the next month or so lighting wise. I've currently got 2 150w hps lights with a 300w Vipar Spectre in a closet. I'll eventually be moving to a 3x3 or 4x4, but for now my debate is either 4 cobs from the cobshop, or the new telos 0008. They're both in the same price range so that doesn't matter to me, really looking for the best bang for my buck, as well as what electricity will look like here in the States using either.

Thanks y'all! :smoking::pass:

I see good things from both, but I only have cobs...so my opinion is just that. I like the ability to raise/lower each individual light as needed. You can add or subtract one light at a time. Good yields, low heat,low energy. I think they are both much better choices than hps...so you can't really go wrong either way. Good luck with your decision.

Isn't the Telos supported via the UK? If I lived in the US/Canada I don't think I'd go with the Telos over the autocobs just based on the way warranty/support would work.

And the 4 separate autocobs offer a lot of flexibility for location over the canopy and the height.

Assuming all things being equal from a light performance point of view, these 2 factors would tilt me towards autocobs.

I love my 8 COBs in a 5x5
I use up to 1 COB / plant until flowering kicks in then 2 COBs / plant during flowering and achieve over 1GPW dry not counting trim
I love the ability to raise/lower/add/remove/dim any light any time I want to without affecting the position of the others
I would stay with COBs for this reason alone given the price is comparable
performance is proven for both options or well I should say appears to be because I cannot say for the Telos myself -- but it looks good online!

I don’t know much about the telos but it’s a good light. I like the versaility of the autocobs. Raise lower one ata time. I need another one or two lol. Different spectrums available too. 3000-6500k.

I will toss a cat amongst the pigeons and suggest that you also consider Ceramic Metal Halide [CMH] 315W. [a.k.a LEC]

I actually had the SunSystem LEC my last grow. It did pretty well but the density just wasn’t there. I also paid for it in electricity. I’m giving COBs a shot this time around.
