Grow Mediums Coco adventures!

Signs Of LIFE!!!

Checked under the humidity dome and 4 seedlings have shown their heads!!!
High 5
2 Swazi and 2 Tangerine Dreams have broken the surface of their Jiffy Pellets!!
:head::booya::woohoo::gthumb:

Another 2 Swazi have germinated and they were placed in pellets this morning.
One more TD is germinating but was too small to transplant into the pellets, maybe tonight or tomorrow.

They have been placed under the Induction light for starters, hope they like the light!

Lets hope the Swazi actually make it past the seedling stage...
:peace:

Picture time!!!

So far i have 4 seedlings looking for light!!!!
The look nice and healthy so far!
First two are Tangerine Dream and Swazi for the last two.

Just crappy phone pics for now!
:D:peace:

Looking good man. I also had to wait over a month to start because of a trip I was taking. The wait was excruciating lol. Glad to see you are up and running. Im curious to see how that Swazi turns out. Pure african landrace sativas haven't found their way to many indoor gardens I'm sure haha.

Question: Did you buy those plugs for the coco, or is that just cellophane or something?

I bought them at a store in town because the hydro store is more than an hour away...
Here is a link to them:

It is a windowsill kit to start seeds in.

Jiffy's can vary too much in composition... I've had no good experience with them, terrible germ rates. Since I switched to Root Riot plugs, my germ rate has been close to 100%.

This is a cathartic post, not bad joo-joo vibe to you my friend! In fact quite the opposite, germ karma bro! :smokebuds:

I wanted to use root riot plugs but these were close at hand...
Once they are a bit more settled, maybe a day or two i will remove the plastic shite from around them and transplant into their coco pots.
For now the plastic is holding everything together which is good!

As for germ rates i went with moist paper towels until the seeds split and the tail is about 5mm long.
Then it was into the jiffy pellets and covered with some of the peat.
So far good results for a first time!!

I was also surprised that the Swazi seeds are popping faster than Barney's Farm TD seeds!!

Hopefully put some more pics up soon!!

Thanks for following and any tips!!!

Just gotta rinse them like compressed blocks. Millions of seeds are successfully germinated and grown in them annually some far harder to grow then auto mmj.

None of the seeds i am growing at the moment are Autos.
Full PhotoPeriod strains this time around to test the system.
:1212:

Next run will be some Dragons for sure!!!
:dance2:

Well the babies are in their new homes and received a very light watering.
They are wearing clear plastic cups at the moment to keep the humidity up.
The lights are on a 20 hour timer and are up and running.

Just need a manual timer to set the pump up automatically.

Pictures on the weekend!!

Oh and only 7 pots are being used so i needed to fill the last three!
Just popped three DieselXC99 courtesy of RCMC!
They will be a bit behind but not worried too much about that!
