anything I can get my hands on!
We are all creatures of habit, here we enjoy or growing and smoking (vaping, eating, etc). How about coffee and tea? How do you enjoy yours? Are you a meticulous barista, automatic coffee maker, get it at the coffee shop, connoisseur, or just don't care, I need a cup of something type?

Myself, I use a grinder and a pour over set-up. I grind my beans with a Breville grinder, the beans are usually just pain old 8 O'Clock brand, and pour 17 oz of wate,r measured with a scale, over them in a Hario pour over type cone with Hario filters. I use light cream and turbinado sugar to lighten and sweeten it.

I'm right there with you on the coffee. I grind my beans, usually Eight O'Clock Columbian, and use a Melitta drip cone with their #6 filters. I'm using a vintage 70s Waring grinder. The blades were dull and I can't get replacement parts anymore. But I found one on eBay for $20, only used twice. I don't use cream or milk, but also use raw sugar in mine. If you've got Krogers in your area, give their house brand beans a try. Very good and less expensive.

I make green tea for cold drinking, sweetened with honey. Sometimes I'll throw in a bag of orange or berry just to give it a different flavor.

I just use a Mr. Coffee and use what ever coffee is the cheapest at the time.

tea for me as im from the other side of the pond from most.made in the cup with square tea bags.has to be square bags as round/triangle are weak and have a dusty taste to them.strong but not stewed nice and milky, about 20 a day habit.

Accross the pond from most???

Australia?

I would say an even split. North America to Euro Zone ratio?

Any takers on that, lol

Doesn't matter where you are from. USA here, Never any coffee, anymore. Messes with me peein'

Tea. I like a Chai Spice and Spearmint in the AM to start the breathing, knowing I will be waking and baking in a matter of minutes.

Then I go either straight Chai, or a Chai with orange pekoe, or a camamille, or a lemon zing, or a black tea. Very rarely a black tea because of the caffeine.

Night time is camamilee with a sleepy time or something like that, if I have one.

Headaches is camamille as well. But I have other things to use on the head aches, and hip pain, and joint pains.

Peace

Nice thread,

Yea im with Archie on the square t bags - twinings everyday im using at the moment but the missus always gets cheap as feck t bags that are ghastly !!! a 30 second stew and a teaspoon of milk is the only way to make that cack drinkable.
1st cup of the day when im on shift has to be coffee - real coffee none of that instant stuff - and especially no nescafe - theres a reason it does not say coffee on the front of the tin ! I use a cafetiere with a medium stregnth already ground coffee usually a south american coffee. Only one cup a day to cut through the stoneover, laterz in the day i get on the mint or ginger and lemon teas.

I'm with you namvet!

It doesn't matter what the coffee is...as long as it is coffee!

:coffee2:

Double espresso in the AM for me.
Fresh ground in Pavoni grinder, brewed in Breville Cafe Roma.
Beans are usually the darkest roast I can find.

im a none coffee or tea drinker, cant stand warm drinks or the taste of tea or coffee. I have the drinking habits of a small child orange juice and lots of it

I take a peeled orange or two and dump it into a pot filled with 3-4 cups of water. I then take a U.S. quarter-sized ginseng and place that into the pot. I let it come to a roiling boil, and boil it for about 2-3 minutes, then let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes.

After it's done, and I can smell the orange with that hint of ginseng, I pour some into a coffee mug and take a Bigelow Earl Grey Tea and let it brew. Not sure if this is the right way, but after it's done brewing, I squeeze the tea bag and toss it, and then I enjoy it.

I like the extra flavour from the orange and ginseng. It makes me feel very calm and relaxed after a stressful day, or from getting killed by a boss/other people multiple times in a video game.
