Hey guys, I came across this randomly the other day:

or something similar at least. Basically it should completely sterilize the water that passes through it. Now at the moment, I strive to maintain a healthy ecosystem down in the res - beneficial bacteria and fungus should hopefully be thriving down there right now. Part of the reason we do this is for increased nutritional intake, but also to help prevent a bloom of bad bacteria/whatever else might grow down there.
But what if we take a different approach and just completely try to keep everything sterile down there? Is this something that's done already? I know some people like to use a lot of hydrogen peroxide in their reservoirs, which should kill all organisms down there, good and bad, is this taking it one step further? Your thoughts?
